Did anyone else notice how BAD the production was this year? All the feedback and mic problems during Celine Dion's performance, the mics distorting all thru the night...man, whatever sound company was at the helm there truly needs to pack it in!

audio mics screwed up on the LUTHER tribute.
PErformances were pretty cool tho.

The sound was just as bad when Patti Labelle was speaking -- I don't think it was the mics... maybe something at the board, or something leading to the television feed. I can't believe they didn't try to resolve it before the event was replayed 3-hours later on the West Coast.

me and my friends were crackin up when that happened...we was like, "somebody's gon' get fired..."

and if that happened to prince...oooh...

Funny thing is our local coverage highlighted Sarah McLachlan as the only canadian performer on stage tonight!

Even we don't want Celine anymore!

It DID happen to Prince...he tried to say his usual "don't hate me cause i'm fabulous" at the very end, but the mic wasn't turned up fully. all we got instead was something mumbled and beyonce and prince glancing at each other suggestively, which didn't matter cause the crowd loved it anyway.

It was!!

You would assume a MUSIC show would have good sound.

Oh it was just awful, like the interns were in charge.
1. Beyonce's mike wouldn't stay upright on the stand.
2. It looked like prince was having trouble with his.
3. Celine's mike didn't work and they brought her another but her moniter, it seemed still didn't work.
4. I bet Alicia couldn't hear herself either.
5. The audio did something funky when Sting was singing
6. When George Harrison's wife was up you could hear both the production team and the audience better than you could hear her.
7. Wondering if Andre threw his mike down cause it was f-ing up too.

And that's just what I noticed. Just embarrassing.

I'm sure Celine cursed whoever was in charge the fuck-out!!!
