White Stripes GRAMMY performance

THIS was great...what was the 2nd part of the song? Sounded Zeppelinesque.

P.S. ANYBODY would capitalize on a PR
20th anniversary...it just sucks having to wait out the year for it to disipate...

I'm not much of a White Stripes fan, but I gotta give them props. It's two people on stage making all that sound. Pretty cool.

They started out a little wobbly, but by the time they were done, Jack White totally owned my ass.

Awesome, voice a little shakier than I would have liked, but his guitar took over...

Halfway through their performance, my girlfriend turned to me and asked "What the fuck is he saying? And are his vocals so needlessly affected because in truth he can't sing?"

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing during the second song. But, all in all... I thought it had a good beat, and I could dance to it.

I might just have to check out the CD.

If they were a better-known group, that performance would be LEGENDARY! Just two people and they ripped that place absolutely apart!!

I bet Prince was thinking, "Damn... that boy stole my show." lol

the 2nd song was "death letter" or "death letter blues" by son house, one of the real early bluesmen... the white stripes have a recorded version of that song out on their "de stijl" album that came out a few years ago...
