Predict who the 'Surprise Opener' is going to be at the GRAMMY'S....

The commercials have promised a 'Cant Miss' opener so I have a couple of predictions on who it may be...

1. OUTKAST/EWF/PARLIAMENT/FUNKADELIC: Though this unbelievable lineup has already been announced...this is the perfect opener for what promises to be a night full of surprises!!!

2. LUTHER VANDROSS: Something tells me Lutha will walk on stage to a massive standing ovation and sing 'Dance With My Father' and everyone (including myself) will be blubbering fools. I dont know what his condition is at this time but the last time I heard he was getting better! I also predict he will win all the awards he's up for. I'm sure Clive Davis will see to that!!!

Post your predictions here!

According to what I've heard on ET, Luther won't make it and Janet, Madonna and Britney are presenters so count all of them out. I'm thinking it might be this site's namesake! Or Janet's boob!

Sadly, this is not gonna happen. From the L.A. Times:

THE GRAMMYS
Vandross won't make Grammys

From Associated Press

Luther Vandross will not be able to attend Sunday's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, where he's nominated for five awards, including song of the year for "Dance With My Father."

"It would have been a tremendous moment for Luther to attend the Grammy Awards this year," business manager Carmen Romano said in a statement. "But on the advice of his doctors, I regret to say that Luther won't be able to make this trip."

Vandross, 52, suffered a severe stroke last April and spent several weeks in a hospital before being transferred to a rehabilitation facility in the New York City area. He is still in a wheelchair.

His album "Dance With My Father," which was released last summer, became the fast-selling disc of his career and has sold nearly 2 million copies. The title track is a song he co-wrote with Richard Marx in which he pays tribute to his late father.

Vandross will still be a major part of the ceremony. Celine Dion and J Records label mate Alicia Keys will take part in a tribute to the star during the show, to be telecast live on CBS.
