Thanks, Harle!

I'll definitely be watching this. She makes a ton of $$$ off those paintings - they're quite good.

Thanks for the heads-up wink

VoicesCarry...I'm pretty sure that "Intimate Portraits" is some kind of biography-type program, not necessarily a showing of Donna's paintings. But I could be wrong...lol

Man lol its the CLEAN version of "Behind The Music"/"E! True Story" and programms like those. Its a 60 minutes bio which includes interviews(with her and others) footages, videos and pre4mances.

Why am I explaining this lol? Don't u guys watch the lifetime network ever?

Geez weez lol

How old is Mimi? I remember when she appeared with Donna on the cover of Ebony way back. She must've been 5 or 6.

Lol, it was just a joke nuts. Too lame to be successful, I guess smile

It appears that Donna will be inducted into the Dance Music Hall Of Fame this year, along with Moroder and Belotte (under the Producers cateogry) and "I Feel Love" (under the Songs category). Maybe we'll get a new album soon? pray

Thanks for the news but I was hoping it would be something bigger...actually, somethintg smaller and round and something we haven't gotten from Donna in about a decade and a half! That would be a new CD. I guess I shouldn't gripe considering I've only been a fan since 1999. I still really want a new CD. "You're So Beautiful" kicked ass! Too bad they never released a normal verison of it or a single with some other mixes.

I've given up hope for a new Donna Summer CD.She was dropped by Sony last year, and her long-awaited 'Angel' CD was shelved. In addition, her much-talked about autobiographical play 'Ordinary Girl' never materialized, even though the soundtrack has been recorded. Here are the tracklists to those albums that we may never get...

***Donna Summer 'Angel' (recorded in 1999-2002)

"Angel"
"You're So Beautiful"
"I Got Your Love"
"Valley Of The Moon"
"Half The Battle"
"Work It"
"Not A Day"
"Rain On My Shoulders"
"Only Words"
"Tearin Down The Berlin Wall"
"Til You Get It"

***Donna Summer 'Ordinary Girl' Soundtrack (from her play that never materialized.Recorded in 1995-1999)

"No Ordinary Love Song"
"Arms and Legs"
"Be Rich"
"Gotta Have A Dress"
"This Forbidden Fruit"
"Rain Rain"
"Chairman Of The Board"
"I Found A Star"
"My Dream Is For You"
"If There Is Music There"
"My Life"
"Begin Again"
"Bitter End"

sad kinda makes you sad,huh?

Did you know that one of Donna's daughters (Brook Lynn) appears on the TV sitcom "My Wife And Kids"? She plays the pregnant girlfriend of the son.

Yeah, I found out about a month or so ago. I think Donna and Bruce Sudano have twins. Don't know if Brook Lynn is one of them.

They don't have twins. I'm not 100% sure on the names but I know that Donnna had two kids with Bruce, Brooklyn around the time of "The Wanderer" ( and many think she is pregant on the cover) and Amanada (?) while recording "Donna Summer". Mimi was a daughther she had with her first husband.

Back the album, it is very sad but I don't fault Donna for what has happened to her albums. I think she puts to much faith in record companies and the way she was talking during this recent press tour for her book (and to a lesser extent, the VBO CD), she will have an album out this year but I also don't see it happening although the sales for "The Journey" seemed decent enough.

Donna is one of those artists who should just release her albums independently. In the past, she has had tremendous problems with major labels. In 1979,she sued Casablanca Records and was able to leave that label. But,when she became the first arist to sign with Geffen Records (in 1980),she had even more problems. She has repeatedly claimed that Geffen didn't promote her properly and effectively (a valid charge),and that they didn't really understand what she was trying to do.They even rejected one of her albums,1981's 'I'm A Rainbow'.As a result, she spent much of the 80s having the occasional hit,and several flops.

So,it should come as no surprise that her recent Sony deal didn't work out.Apparently, the company didn't approve of her 'Angel' album, which is why it remains unreleased. And it's obvious that they weren't very supportive of her plans for the 'Ordinary Girl' play and soundtrack. That's why she should go the independent route.

During a recent appearance on the Larry King show, she did mention that a new CD would be released in 2004.According to her,the much-bootlegged track "I Got Your Love" would be included.I really WANNA get excited about this news, but there have been so many promises, rumors, and false release dates in the past that we'll have to take a wait-and-see approach.Fingers crossed.

It's a saccharin hybrid of A&E's Biography and E!'s True Hollywood Story.

Hey guys, even though we haven't got a new Donna Summer CD in years,we could still make our own! In recent years,Donna has released many new songs,on movie soundtracks, hits compilations, and obscure projects that you may not even know about. If you can find all these songs, you can burn yourself an entire "new" Donna Summer CD...

"The Power Of One" (2000,from the Pokemon 2 movie)
"Vertical" (2000,A gospel song recorded with Darwin Hobbs)
"Dreamcatcher" (2000,from the "Naturally Native" movie soundtrack)
"Love On And On" (1999)
"My Life" (1999,from the 'Live and More Encore' CD)
"Love Is The Healer" (1999)
"I Will Go With You (Con Te Partiro)" (1999)
"When The Dream Never Dies" (2000,from the "Child Of The Promise" soundtrack)
"Bad Girls" (demo version from the BG Deluxe Edition,2003)
"I Got Your Love" (2003,bootlegged song that was played on a recent episode of Sex and The City)
"That's The Way" (2003)
"Dream-A-Lots Theme (I Will Live For Love)" (2003)
"You're So Beautiful" (2003)

I know but let's hope there is some follow through. Is she actually singed to Univerisal to do a new album? I know that there is this independent dance label called Ultra that picked up Dannii's "Neon Nights". That would be perfect for her. I still haven't heard "I Got Your Love" but have heard a lot about it. Have you heard it?

As far as I know,Donna is not signed to any label at the moment.Universal owns the master recordings to her OLD albums, and I'm sure they'll continue to remaster her catalog (hopefully,'Once Upon A Time'(1977) and 'Live And More'(1978) will be next). But Donna has no contract with them to release a new album.

I haven't heard "I Got Your Love" either. But I did hear a small snippet that was posted on a fansite (it has since been removed). From the small piece that I heard,it sounds like a kickass dance track.
