This is what Janet should say...

(OK lemme just say this would only work if they really did just mean for him to take off the black part and not the red part.)

"What I did was indefensible, so I'm not going to do it. What I will say is that if you want to shield your children from something shield them from guns, from drugs, from domestic violence. These things take away life. Breasts are the very esscence of life. A tiny little human can live and flourish living off of only the love and nourishment from the breasts of a woman.

We are off fighting a war now where people are being taught that the breasts represent the shame of being a woman...and that guns and violence are good.

If you can suspend your beleif for moment and imagine a scenario where what happened Sunday was actually a mistake, imagine you saw proof with your own eyes, is it easier to explain to your children now? If the war is a mistake does it make THAT easier to explain?"

I know it's ridiculous but she could spin that shit and make herself look less ho-ish by making people think they made a big deal outta nuthin' they should really just want "world peace".

this is my opinion on the janet/super bowl thing. please forgive me, i've ripped it from my post in politics and religion. i rarely visit that room anymore so i wanted to put it somewhere that i do visit frequently.

let's not even talk about the audience demographic of the super bowl and the appropriation of content because the game's own advertising and pre-show should have been too explicit for kids. the idea of victoria's secret models running around in lingerie whilst involved in a game of football is unacceptable viewing for children. if the super bowl is a family event why did they choose the performers they chose? nelly and p diddy and kid rock? kid friendly, mother approved...i think not. as for janet, did the programmers or marketing team look into her career at all? they knew the song selection she had. they had access to all lyrics. what did they think they were getting into? they wanted to push the envelope and it backfired so they are now scapegoating the issue by blaming justin and janet.

i think the whole program...advertisements, side show entertainment and halftime show...were innappropriate for younger viewers. i will give anyone that much. i would not allow my child to have watched that halftime show. and you know what else? if i had a child i would not have even known about the "costume reveal" until the news came on because it would not have been on with my kid in the room. as a parent you need to take responsibility for what your child watches. if you know who those performers are then you already know your child should not be watching it. andif you don't know who they are you should take the time to find out just who and what your kid will be viewing.

it is time we stop blaming the entertainers for what people see. the networks air it. the networks want to shock and get attention. the audience loves it...i mean, i heard no boos coming from that crowd, did you? be an adult and moniter what your child sees and hears. no one alive doesn't know what janet is about. and if you have children, you probably know who puff daddy is so make an educated decision and don't rely on these greedy corporations to decide what is ok for you and your child to watch.

i just wanted to say that my opinion is not based on the fact that it was jj involved in all of this. i would also like to say that i hold many 'conservative' opinions on many different matters, so it is not because i am some loud mouthed liberal. usually, the liberals disagree with me when i post in here. my opinion is based on the fact that most people are somewhat intelligent humans who can, and should be able to, come to a decision of their own regarding wwhat gets shown in their homes. and if this incident was too far, then we need to hold the proper people responsible and stop blaming the ones who were hired, at the end of the day, to GRAB RATINGS.

I guess I'm saying if you are going to cause an uproar, do it for a bigger problem because we definitely have plenty to choose from.

Exactly, and this whole little "investigation" is ridiculous if that's what the government thinks they should be spending their time dealing with.

AdoreDaBang1: You have just changed my entire perspective on this.

Thank you.

However, I will not give Janet any credit for this as it is just deliberate self-promotion.

YOU get a lot of credit for how you have approached the situation, and this will be very similar to my opinion to how people are choosing to interpret this event.

Sassier: there is also a lot of wisdom in your words.

I rarely vote on a thread. This one gets 5 stars.

I don't understand that whole matter.
Almost every movie you can see in the cinemas has more sex in it, than this damn few seconds where you could see one (!) of her breast (semi-covered anyway). So what is that fuzz. I'm sorry to say, but I think that America has lost the view for the real important things.

I wonder when the first case will be filed in court, because somebody claims that he is having psychological problems because his/her mummy gave her mother milk.

Poor America.

oh i absolutely agree there's far more important stuff to worry about like why is it ok to watch a gladiator style sport where grown men bloody each other over nothing?

but, one thing i noticed, or maybe it's just me, but didn't the star/ring thing on her nipple kinda make her breast look like a warhead? kinda scary and not exactly supportive of the mother figure make the world all right nurse at my breast of peace thing..
