Beyonce did an excellent job. I watched the Super Bowl with a bunch of my singing friends (some of whom perform professionally), and we all were floored by her rendition -- even if it probably was pre-recorded. She did well on a difficult song.
I'd put that as best over Marvin's and Whitney's, though theirs were quite good, too. | |

I thought she did a really nice job. I heard that everyone who's scheduled to sing the Anthem records it first. Then they have the option of doing it live or "Memorex." Heck, it's a hard song to sing, even Whitney lip-synced it. | |

i thought she was great but, if she lip synched, why? i can understand if you lip sync adance number...you kind of have to...but lip synching the national anthem. let's leave that to cher! | |

i don't think that they have a choice in whether or not they lip-synch the anthem, they all have to record it first and then mime to that recording. they don't want anyone to mess it up or for technical problems to pop up. | |
