Is anyone here into contemporary Christian or spiritual music?

Maybe it's a bit of a stretch, but considering how spiritual Prince's music has always been, I'm surprised more Prince fans aren't into that sort of thing.

Anyone besides me?

Yup.

But I'm more of an Old School Gospel listener, I guess probably because I've heard more of the older stuff than the newer Gospel. I dig Shirley Caesar, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Andre Crouch, James Cleveland, and a lot more that I can't remember right now because I haven't listened to them in a long time.

It has been spiritual since album one, but only recently was it blindly religious.

Ditto...basically anything from the late 70's-mid80's like The Hawkins with Love Alive and The Clark Sisters has a deeper connection to me than most of the music of late, altho I like Yolanda Adams. I'm usually out of the loop compared to my friends at church who knows it all. My mom listens to gospel more than anything else, so that's how I kinda keep up.

Yeah, was his name Walter Hawkins, or Edwin Hawkins? And wasn't he related to a female Gospel singer? I can't remember her name at the moment. My mother is the source of my Gospel music experience too.

I never really thought I was but on this Detriot Public Schools Radio station they play this stuff called, I kid you not, GOSPEL HOUSE.

Now maybe I'm new to this or something but it's not half bad. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or are they into it?

Now I'm really dislike contemporary Chirstian music but then again, if this woman is singing it, I could be wrong!

Good to see so many Gospel fans on this site. I was starting to think the org was filled with religious nay sayers due to the JW bashing.
