His last wife Adrienne even was abusing him in their marriage. Before that, he has used women to satisfy his pleasures, and women used him for his fame, power and money. While Tommy Rae, his current wife, is a cool chick, she is definetely in for the money and fame. If you have "no problem disrespecting him", then you dont know what he has done for black people in America and what he has done for integration and friendship between black and white. It's like a badge of honour or something. I suppose it makes it OK somehow if "they're using him for money and fame"? I don't believe that we must respect someone for all eternity simply because they accomplished something good in their life. Michael Jackson is known for being a child molestor, but he should remain innocent until proven guilty. Nobody really knows what truly happened with Tammi Terrell, and we can`t ask her, cuz she is dead. And that`s not James Brown`s fault. All I am saying is: If you stay with a man who beats you, dont complain. If you do complain (which I`d understand), leave him. None of these women ever wanted to leave him, Lyn Collins included (who was never beaten by him). And I am not making fun of his musical achievements or whatever racial harmony he might have created.
