Y'all got to go way, way back to her marriage with James DeBarge.. you with me? Now, did any of you see that photo of them in Jet magazine. Janet's belly was as big as a house and in the photo's caption it said that she is expecting.

This is not a joke. I love me some JJ and I've followed her solo music career from "Say You Do" on up to current. I was too young back then to be fanatical about anything but school but I remember the image vividly.

Inquiring minds want to know?

I *vaguely* recall reading some shit about an unwanted child with James, but I can't remember if it resulted in abortion (couldn't be, if you recall her being that far along into her pregnancy) or what the hell happened.

Before you take this as a joke, let me warn you that I am serious. Janet has always balloned up and down with her weight and maybe this was the case and "Jet" might have had it all wrong. Something tells if such an issue of Jet exists, someone would have questioned her on it. THer eis also the possiblity she had the kid and gave it away. I'd hate to say it but stranger things have happened in that family.

Janet never had a baby, they were all rumors.

All of that stuff is probably way out of print. Either that or Papa Joe saw to it that it was erased from the pages of history (she was under his management at the time). The Jackson clan were really against the marriage. James and Janet eloped. Damn, I wish this had happened post Control 'cuz then it would have been world news. Everyone was flipping over Michael so everything else just got washed out.

I never saw a picture of a pregnant Janet, but I remember this blind item that appeared in Right On! magazineyears ago about a very young r&b singer who was either rumored to be pregnant or had already had a child. I've always thought it was referring to Janet or Stacy Lattisaw. (Remember her?)

I remember hearing a rumor that Janet may have given the baby to Rebbie to raise.

The baby rumors have dogged Janet for years.But there is a reason why these rumors won't go away.Janet was less-than- forthcoming about her marriage,so people feel like she is probably lying about this too.I remember back in the mid-80s (1985 or so),I heard that she had a baby and allowed her sister Rebbie to raise it.I've even spoken to someone who CLAIMS to be close to the DeBarge family,and this guy confirms it.

There was a confirmed pregnancy with her marriage to James. It was announced by her publicist that she miscarried at about 4 months. The second pregnancy rumor has been going on since the annulment. Who knows. Who cares?

I remember a few weeks ago a gosssip column called "Jawns juice" who said that a famous "r&b superstar" who gave her child away may shortly be hearing from her long lost TEEN daughter!

Also the whole rumors about Joe Jackson erasing the whole pregnancy from the public concious is all very "1984" (the book)

I actually saw Rebbie on Video Soul back in the day saying that people mistaked Janet for her while she was pregnant.

I don't think she was pregnant.
