Does R Kelly have a hope in hell?

Will he go to jail? I haven't seen the video but I saw a still and it definetly looked like him. Surely all the money in the world won't stop him from being convicted. I heard his defense is someone has digitally edited the video to make it look like him. Apparently his first witness is George Lucas (?). Will anyone believe him?

It's hard to say.But it doesn't look good for him. There's alot of evidence against him...

***The video

***The kiddie-porn photographs that cops later found

***The fact that he married Aaliyah when she was only 15

***The numerous underrage girls that he "paid off"

The prosecution may not be able to use all of those things in his trial, but it still paints a disturbing picture of the type of person that R.Kelly is.

OK I have heard this too. But no one has talked about WHERE it was filmed. Isn't it R.Kelly's own house in the video?

Sure you can digitally alter a video, but surely no one would go to the trouble of re-creating the setting to be exactly R.Kelly's house or whatever the location is.

I once heard that R.Kelly was trying to convince his lookalike brother to take the rap for this! Could you imagine him telling his brother...

"Hey man, just do me this favor.I'll give you 10 million dollars, which you can have after you get released from prison in 25 years.Come on bro, please help me out!"

lol

I also heard that; I don't know how true it is. Man, why would anyone allow that to be pinned on them?

I heard that the trial wasn't going to happen because the prosecution couldn't prove exactly when the video was shot.

Another problem is,the young girl in the video (who is now 18) is not cooperating with the prosecution.

He will probably get through it and release more dirge like "Ignition Remix" unfortunately.

"I'm like so what I'm drunk, it's the freaking weekend"???...complete tosh.

She was probably paid off.

It's bleedingly obvious that he's guilty, and he should go to jail, but he's got more chance or getting away with it than MJ. That said, I really wanna see the man behind bars.

You're right there: he's probably got more evidence against him than Jackson (current and historical), BUT R Kelly is still worth a lot of money to a lot of people. Unlike Jackson he is still having big hits ("Chocolate Factory" sold 500,000 in its first week in the US - not to mention all the other artists he has produced and written for). It simply isn't profitable slinging him in jail.
