I've been revisiting this album recently...WOW!
Could this be the most impressive debut album EVER?

All songs are strong, it's really hard to pick a favorite.
I bet at least 9 songs would be mentioned as favorites, but I would have to say "If You Let Me Stay" would be right there for me.

I gotta get this on CD...tape only right now...

TTD is the bomb! Great debut, I agree. Sign Your Name would be my favorite track, then If You All Get to Heaven.

Have you seen the live video that goes with this. Now THAT is brilliant! Great behind the scenes interviews and stuff. Performances are superb.

I recently went through all of my CDs because I was gonna sell them but I would never part with this album. Wishing Well then Sign My Name are my favorite tracks.

fantastic record... I wouldn't call it the most impressive debut album ever, but it's got to be up there somewhere in the top 10.

Sign Your Name was voted the 2nd best love song by some r&b mag a few years back...

hmmm. i heard he was sort of an asshole as a show he did in Chicago (or maybe it was Philly-Sassy Britches-help me out here) ... he came on 45 minutes late and then was yelling profanities at the audience...dunno if i'd waste my time if this was true...

Brilliant record It made me a fan of TTD/Sananda and his following albums all fulfilled my very high expectations . My favourites are Wishing Well, 7 more Days and Who´s loving You.

Yes, this was definitely one of the better releases of 1987. In fact it's the greatest album released since "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

The album is worth the price of admission for tracks three, five and nine. Classic stuff.

Though I definitely love Introducing The Hardline, it is my least favourite record by Sananda/TTD, IMHO all his other records show his talent even more than his brilliant debut record.

"Dance Little Sister" was a fantastic track. I have this on cassette somewhere too. It was one of the first albums my dad bought for me.

I think TTD disappeared up his own ass didn't he..? Started trying to release albums of strictly instrumental stuff or him whining in the background...hang on a minute, that sounds familiar.

The Hardline and Symphony or Damn were both great albums. I found Vibrator a little harder to take. I watched a documentary on him a few years ago and it was widely believed that he fell into his own hype and that was why his career crashed and burned. He believed at one point that he could release anything and people would buy it.

i saw TTD in England on his Vibrator tour, and he was a great showman - certainly didn't come across as an asshole then, anyway. He was joking around, laughing at some of the more outlandish dancing in the boxes and was ripping up some serious tunes. Dance little sister (which is my personal fave on the album) was truly awesome - as soon as that beat comes in...man it's good.
