HOT OFF THE PRESS...More Janet info....

Just found out the following information from Virgin. Some of this is already known but I wanted to share with the Jan fans who hangout here what I just heard! As always..we salivate for info like this!!!

-DAMITA JO will be released March 30th. There will be the standard version and a Limited Edition which at this time looks like it will be a DVD and Virgin is looking to license this Sunday's performance to include on it

-"Love Me For A Little While" will be released in both a Pop mix (the one alot of us heard today) and an R&B mix. Both versions will go for official radio ads on Feb. 24th. A single will be released March 9th.

-"Love Me" is the most recent song completed. It was finished last month during sessions with Dallas Austin.

-DAMITA JO has 4 major producers helping Janet showcase her diversity..

-JAM & LEWIS: Traditional Janet R&B/Pop
-DALLAS AUSTIN: More Pop/Rock side of Janet
-RICH HARRISON (Beyonce): More cutting edge Hip Hop/R&B
-CANT REMEMBER NAME: European producer showing off a Euro-Disco side of Janet

-DAMITA JO is said to be alot more upbeat than ALL FOR YOU and VELVET combined.

-This Sunday Janet will do 1 minute of "All For You" and return at the end of the Halftime with a new version of "Rhythm Nation" entitled "Nation 2004"

-She will be on Super Bowl Sunday's edition of TRL as well.

-She will do an online AOL chat sometime in February

When I hear more I'll post!!!

peace
Every minute of last night is on my face today....

"Damita Jo"? That really doesn't scream best seller. Something tells me that the title will be changing soon!

Who buys an album based on the title?

Did'nt Nsync have an album called "No Strings Attatched" (so lame), and "Celebrity" (even lamer), and 50 Cent have an album called "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" (good lawd) and became "bestsellers". Come on now.

I could care less what if the album is called "Your Pussy Gonna Swell up and Explode" (in fact, I'd love that). I'm buying the album regradless. It's just the fact that when people are asking for the album, "Damita Jo" doesn't roll off the tongue while something like "No Strings Attached" does. And "All For You"? You don't get a friendlier title than that. Janet just hasn't been selling what she used to, nor has anyone female singer over 30 lately. I wish her luck but I know that Virgin can't be happy with this title.

Did it? If it did sell 3 million, that is great but it certaintly is lower than what she is used to, isn't it?

I don't care because I loved the album but if her album sales get any lower, she might be kicked off Virgin. Hell, they kicked off Mariah!
