James Brown arrested for domestic violence

AIKEN - Legendary soul singer James Brown was arrested today on a charge of criminal domestic violence and was booked at the Aiken County detention center at about 1 p.m., said Lt. Nicholas Gallam, a supervisor at the jail.

Shortly before 1 p.m., Mr. Brown was taken to a tarp-covered sally port at the jail and escorted inside by Aiken County sheriff's deputies.

He faces a 3 p.m. bond hearing before Aiken County Magistrate Danny Lynn, Lt. Gallam said.

i don't know which wife U R talking about but this one he married after his other wife died from a drug over dose after her plastic surgery. this one has been on tour with him and even did a james brown documentary recently aired on PBS.

So if one of JB's women fought back and smacked him down, would some dude appear out of nowhere and drape a cape over his shoulders?

JB needs to stay in the studio and on tour year-round so that he will have something to occupy his time.Also,give him a drum set so he can beat something.

James is ignorant as a result of how our system has treated him when he was young. As a lil boy he was so poor he had to start stealing to survive. They looked him up for the first time when he was in 4th grade and they never let him go back to school after that. He was denied the most fundamental right, that of education. Later (in the early 80`s) they took everything he had because he owed millions of dollars to the IRS. He did more for this country than most artists ever did, but still he have treated him like shit. His aggression problem comes from the time of his depression when he started using drugs heavily. He is a sick man, we should treat him with a lot of respect and help him rather than lock him up again.

He is with his current wife Tommi Rae since 1998, they married shortly after that. The "divorce" last year was nothing but a publicity stunt by Mr Brown.

Tommy is not a good singer, and her performances in the show rathe damage Mr Brown`s act. But she is a very cool, down to Earth lady and she sets him straight once in a while. She doesnt take shit from him, so considering his temper it doesnt surprise me that he had to flip out once. I really hope that they can work this out because he is deeply in love with her.
