From 22 year old Prince, a monomaniac sexual obsession was cool.

From a 35+ Jackson sister, it's just icky. And the Prince comparison is such a cliche already.

Well, it helped that when Prince sang about sex, he usually made it interesting (ex: "Little Red Corvette") instead of obvious. His musings on love were also extremely intriguing....he didn't hold back there.

I just hope her effort doesn't end up sounding "sooo 2002", which was when electroclash sounded "sooo 80s". I'm pretty sure minimalist electro has had its day in the sun.

You know what's wack, the way people confuse the terms electroclash and electro. Electroclash is mostly a take off of new wave and punk while Electro (or Electro Funk) is urban in its upbringing and is a completely different genre all together.

That's why I find it so strange that someone coined it electroclash. Most electroclash artists don't even know who Cybotron, Newcleus, Egyptian Lover, Hashim, Orbit, Tony Butler (Pretty Tony and Freestyle), Mantronix, Planet Patrol or other true 'Electro' acts are. Electroclash artists like Dopplereffekt and Fischerspooner find more inspiration in new wave acts than in Tony Butler or other urban electro outfits.

People use the term 'Electro' now to define any type of electronic-oriented dance music and diminishing the legacy of true Electro artists whom which the term was coined.

Yeah, okay. Janet's "icky" and not sexy at all. And what does her age have to do with anything?
'Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance... well, they're no friends of mine.

Actually, if you keep in mind when men and women reach their sexual peaks, its sorta on par.
