:DISBELIEF: Unbelieveable. But I did predict that one of these bands would not perform on this program. I'm sorry that it had to be Frankie though.

I knew it. I just knew it. Of all the bands they're profiling, 'Frankie' was the one that I wanted to see reunited to perform most of all. And it figures that they'd be the ones who wouldn't end up doing it.

I can't really say I blame Holly Johnson. You could pretty much tell by his initial reaction to the whole thing that it was gonna take a miracle for it to go all the way.

I've read several interviews that he's done since the band broke up and he didn't really give the impression that he held many fond memories of the group. He's really kinda moved on.

Holly Johnson is HIV positive. That's official. It's in his autobiography, which came out ten years ago.

I fell asleep as they went in search of the fourth band member.
sad When I woke up VH1 had repeated it, but I was too tired to watch. I was curious about the outcome.

Weren't the band members saying Holly would agree to it?

i had also heard that Holly died. my roommate and I were both under that impression... can't remember where I heard it from.

But yeah it's a shame that they didn't perform together.

How about that footage of them in the leather, before they got signed... OMG!!! Pretty amazing.

HA! So I am right... my fiancée keeps on telling me Holly is dead. I was a bit too lazy googling it up.

Anyway, the best thing isn't that I am right. The only best thing is he's alive.

That's true. Everybody always seems to think he died just the same. So how is he doing these days?

I actually liked that version of Relax better than their studio version. It was a lot more funkier and sparse. But that leather and bondage gear was a lil' too much for me. lol

Was it an earlier version than the record version? I really dug it - and, all their songs had keyboards, but there was no official keyboardist in the band. Odd.

I'm going out to get both their records (again) tomorrow. "Warriors Of the Wasteland" was a pretty good record too, as I recall, but the first album just blew me away when I was a teenager. Their version of "Born To Run" is awesome - didn't they play that on Saturday Night Live? I think so - the drummer was wearing a hockey goalie mask or something crazy like that.

i had heard somewhere... ages ago... that the Pleasuredome album was mostly a creation of the producer - Trevor Horn i believe???... and the band didn't really play on it, just the vocals. Don't know if it's true or not.

But yeah i'm not into leather but i thought they looked pretty hot in that video LOL
