Yep RDHULL you're right. ...A lot of people didn't really catch what Mike was saying in this song{maybe because they were dancing so hard to it out on the dance floor}...He uses metaphors on this 1983 classic. The song deals with a woman who has "schemes and plans"...is it for money or just to "be close" to Mike...whatever the reason, she lures Mike into the sack. "Dancing on the floor in the round" is a metaphor for sex. In the first verse Mike asks " I said don't mind but what do you mean I am the one WHO WILL DANCE ON THE FLOOR IN THE ROUND...she said I AM THE ONE WHO WILL DANCE ON THE FLOOR IN THE ROUND"...Ms. Thang aka Bille Jean is setting Mike up right here...By the end of the night, he will be hers
In the second verse, her plans finally came to fruition...BECAUSE THEY DANCED ON THE FLOOR IN THE ROUND...then Mike comes back and warns us..just remember whenever you're put into a situation like this{when you're being seduced} to ALWAYS THINK TWICE. Billie Jean is about some stalker who said that MJ was the father of her child. Thats the true story behind the song. It was also gonna b called 'Not My Lover' bcuz Quincy Jones thought that MJ might b singing about the tennis player, Billie Jean King | |
