what kind of music is on that album trouble man?
is it uptempo funk.
i think marvin had great uptemp funk, mine favourite album is "in our lifetime"
word on the street back then was that he hear about young
guy named prince who makes great funky music.
he said"everybody's raving about that prince guy,im the real prince"
he went in the studio and made "in our lifetime"

In 1979,Marvin was hearing alot about Prince and it inspired him to record a funky, sexy party album titled 'Love Man'.Unfortunately, the album was never released, even though the first single "Ego Trippin Out" was already in stores and on the radio.Marvin re-worked a few of the tracks and came up with an entire new album,'In Our lifetime',which was released in 1981 (his last album for Motown Records). But I'd love to get my hands on a copy of the unreleased 'Love Man' album.

'In Our Lifetime' is an okay album, but we all know that Marvin was capable of better.

Trouble Man is the score for the eponymous blaxploitation movie. The music is a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks, all absolutely excellent, IMO.

Only a couple of uptempo tracks, if that's what you're looking for. But don't let this make you overlook this great album in which Marvin's musical genius really shines.
