BERLIN VH1 show WOW!! I have always LOVED BERLIN, one of the most underrated bands, TERRI NUNN easily the most overlooked FEMALE vocalist and the BAND was WAY AHEAD OF ITS TIME. And even though BERLIN still record GREAT music these days with all new BAND members along with TERRI, seeing all the ORIGINAL members play together was very emotional, for them and for me. THIS NEW vh1 REUNITE the BAND show is easily the best thing they have ever done, Im not a fan of the 80's strikes back show because they basically have these no-talents TRASH the music from that era.
But LIKE i said BERLIN still records and their last CD 2002's VOYEUR was GREAT and they have a NEW dvd out this past NOVEMBER called INTIMATE and its a cool DVD live show. All I can say is someone gve them some PROPS, Gwen Stefani is this Decades TERRI NUNN, I mean they are so much alike in style and even NO DOUBT as a band is similar to BERLIN maybe they'll cover THE METRO next... However get ready FOR A HORROR show, NICK and JESSICA are going to record TAKE MY BREATH AWAY...what a nightmare, ! "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

My wife and I just saw this tonight and we were all ga-ga over it too. I was telling her, like you just stated, that this show was a brilliant idea and I'll be tuning in tomorrow night when they reunite Romeo Void.

Can't wait for tomorrow night's as I've just recently gotten into Romeo Void.
Terri Nunn was on fire! Damn, I can't believe how fine that woman still looks.

I tuned into this new show with much skepticism and cynicism, fully expecting another piece of staged, reality-television garbage.
What I witnessed was quite the contrary. This was far more than getting a band back together for nostalgia purposes, this was a very touching story about the need for closure and the complexity of human relationships. The whole piece was handled with grace. There wasn’t even a single person who had to be humiliated for the sake of ratings. Perhaps the rest of the episodes will be a disaster, but this first installment was the first great thing I’ve seen on VH1 in years, and perhaps the most meaningful thing they’ve ever produced. I’m not a fan of Berlin, but what I saw moved and impressed me enough that I will certainly go pick up a copy of their “Best of” collection. Terri Nunn is certainly ever bit as good or better than she was 20 years ago.

I've posted this thread a while ago. But anyways, yes, I was very happy to see that the original members of Berlin did reunite. I didn't think VH1 would manage to pull it off. Berlin's an awesome and underrated New Wave group. They sound just as great today as they did 20 years ago. Their performance of "The Metro" and "No More Words" was just too cool.
And yes, today I am looking forward to this Romeo Void episode of Bands Reunited. I'm really not sure if they'll get back together, which would be a bummer. I saw the preview for that one and the saxaphone player didn't sound too pleased about the reunion. As a matter of fact, it is coming on in a few minutes. Time to get the VCR ready. As much as I love The Smiths, a reunion is not gonna happen anytime soon. But we have 2009 or 2010to look forward to, when they get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Let's cross our fingers and hope that Moz & Johnny would set aside their stubbornness and create some more magic through misery. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Let's just say that Johnny & Moz have not spoken since their breakup. Also there was the legal issue between Johnny & Moz and their rhytm section, Andy & Mike. There was a settlement but with that came some bad blood with the group. So I'm really not sure about a reunion anytime soon. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.
