The Essential Bruce Springsteen lately i have been getting into a lot more Bruce. i'm starting to realize the breadth of work that he has created. it's amazing. i actually see a lot of similiarities between hm and Prince.
The new Essential cd has so much stuff on it. what rea; performer. also get the Live in Barcelona...i tell you, Prince ain't th eonly one who can rock the house like that. this is my alter-ego altho i may act like my first ego. if you get confused just pretend it's me but like before!

yeah i find that his early stuff is very lyrical. his latter stuff is a bit more to the point and simpler

i dig bruce. my favorite disc to listen to is actually the 18 tracks compilation of b-sides. They are all so great they could've been a-sides, so it plays like a Greatest Hits of sorts of songs that should have been hits...

Good on ya for getting into him. Similarities to Prince, you say? Maybe, but one thing they don't have in common is that Bruce ain't an asshole.

Never checked too deeply into Bruce before but his performance on Conan O' Brien about a year ago of "Kitty's Back" really turned my head. A totally floor dropping performance. Now I have to get that 2nd Springsteen album...

yeah i think there are similiarities between the two. first off they have stayed loyal to their hometowns and have been charitable there as well. they both have used local musicians in the past. obviously the music is different but i think they both have their hearts in the right place. i bet they even have the same political outlook...well maybe Prince might be a bit out there.
