I love School Days, and Rite of Strings is absolutely stellar, but these two are great as well. Journey to Love was the first CD of his that I bought, and it was purely on a hunch. Didn't hear a note of it, but I read the reviews on allmusic, and I heard so much about him, so I gave it a try. Haven't looked back.

I have been checking Micatone, Dexter Gordon's "Our Man In Paris," Paul Desmond and Gerry Mulligan's "Two of a Mind," and Musiq's "soulstar."

I am waiting on Amel Larrieux and Pitch Black to drop in about a week and a half.

What do you think of "soulstar"? I wasn't really impressed with what I heard on his website, but I think it might be a grower. Just didn't hit me instantly like his first two albums did.

It's getting a little better on subsequent listens, but I'm with you.
