Creed?

Just kidding wink

But seriously, I absolutely detest them. They have a really strict formula that they absolutely REFUSE to deviate from.

In Brief, The Creed Formula As Follows:

Lyrics With Religious/Theological Overtones + Lots Of Guitar Thumping + Gravelly Voice/Constant Groaning = Human Clay, Weathered, My Own Prison.

I also have this theory about how "Higher" and "My Sacrifice" are the SAME song: same hook, same bridge, same voice, same quasi-religious lyrical bent.

And to top it all off, they have some of the worst album covers in the business.

But, this is all IMHO. If you like them, I'd advise you to go to Human Clay or My Own Prison next.

I love Creed and could give a shit if no one else does. I prefered them when Brian Marshall was still in the band but I still like them. One of my favorites by them is "Bullets".

A lot of irony on the Org today.

Personally I don't like Creed or TRC..
Thank you for helping me articulate why, Janfriend.

That picture. OMG. Aren't you just a little bit afraid that there is a hell?

I'm by no means of the souless religous antics of Creed either. I think the reason that some many people hate them so strongly is that they just dominated everything twenty four seven. It was too much of a bad thing! Thank God they've been quite lately and hopefully if they put out anything new it won't sell!

No, since I'm not religious, don't believe in hell, and also don't like to censor humour wink

They had one decent year, but that doesn't mean their music isn't complete shit.

hate to pile it on but yes, I too despise Creed... although in a way they are amusing... i've never seen anyone take themselves quite so seriously and act so self-righteous... except perhaps Natalie Merchant, but that's another story...

But they are very into what they're doing, i'll give them that...

They were definitely inthe right place when America needed some good old fashioned rock. I liked their first record because it's primal and has an intensity to it they seem to have lost in the albums since.
