Your Music Collection: A

I thought it would be interesting to see what we have in our cd collections, going down the alphabet. I'm curious to see how eclectic our collections may be, and what similarities we have. Also, I'm curious to see what we actually spend our money on, as opposed to burning copies, so only post artists' that have compelled you to purchase their cds.

Going from memory:

Tori Amos worship (EVERYTHING by her)
Christina Aguilera (Just her debut)
All Saints (debut)
Alice In Chains (Everything)
Leah Andreone (Both, highly recommended)
Arcadia (Which is really in my Duran section.)
India.Arie
Fiona Apple

Forgot two!

Cool idea! Off the top of my head:

Tori Amos
ABBA
Paula Abdul
Christina Aguilera
America
Apollonia
Aerosmith
Marc Anthony
Adam Ant

I know I have others in my "A" section, but I'm drawing a blank.

I taped some Aphex Twin from a friend of mine a few years ago. I have a tape of selections from Selected ambient works volume II and I Care Because You Do. Any suggestions on what cd I should buy to start with?

this is a cool topic!

music format unspecified; although I'm forever catching up buying cd's, most of my collection is still cassette & I still have a lot of vinyl..

ABC : Lexicon Of Love, How To Be A Millionaire
Ambrosia : Greatest Hits
Average White Band : Pick Up The Pieces (Anthology)

Cool topic Vina...5 STARS!

Here's mine. For insurance (and completely anal) reasons I have all cd's filed in Excel, so it's easy for me to drag over the names. Unfortunately for some reason I've listed each as First Name - Second Name, so here are my first name 'A's:

Adam Ant
Al Green
Albert King
Alicia Keys
Allan Holdsworth
Angie Stone
Average White Band

Here are some second name A's that I can see:

India Arie
Tori Amos
Roy Ayers
D'Angelo (does that count?)
Skunk Anansie (hmmm)

smile
jerkoff.....drool BULLSEYE! cool

I think U've probably got some of the best of his work there Vina. I Care Because You Do is his strongest album I reckon. If U can, try and get hold of the 2 singles-'Windowlicker' and 'Come To Daddy'. U might also like his latest album, 'Druks'.

Thanks for the 5 stars though. hug I wasn't sure if this was a goofy idea or not.

Soul, classic rock, jazz and of course the biggest section; FUNK

Then there's the vinyl and that it sorted by value of the record.

Funny thing is, I can ALWAYS find music that I'm looking for.

Now if I could just deal with all of the mp3s...
