I was watching this programme on Michael Jackson and they were talking about why MOONWALKER didnt get released at the cinema and everything saying that it was just plain crap...
i was just wondering what u guys thought of MOONWALKER???

its not the best film in the world but i thought it was funny it always cheers me up

Yeah it's embarrassing and the sequencing is senseless, but it's a fun film and it cheers me up too. Even if MJ's a pedo, I could never fully hate him. He's so sprightly and sensitive...it really shows in the film. JOE PESCI ROCKS!!!

Overall, it's a pretty bad movie, but it's kind of endearing and it's sentimental to me because I've owned the movie for years.

they showed it at the cinema on boxing day in the uk btw (the year of release), they didnt release it at the cinema in America but i believe they did in Europe, on video moonwalker was actually a success anyway. the first hour of the movie is just different concert and music video footage which is always worth watching where mj is concerened. oh and of course Smooth criminal, leave me alone, speed demon and come together get shown two of my favourite mj videos made thier appearance so i liked it. but the actual movie kinda sucks, in terms of story lines i'd say 'Ghosts' was better and his 'acting'skills have improved. oh yeah, the game is great too

the movie certainly is worse than any flick prince has ever done. it's not even a movie, just a sequence of video clips & animations

anyway my four year old son enjoys to watch portions of it every now and then, he don't care that the animations look REALLY dated & cheap these days

GHOSTS is brillant that has alot more comedy in it... but i always wonder what the boy does at the end...

i think the concert footage at the start of Moonwalker is priceless just GREAT

i think under the cherry moon and graffiti bridge are quite posibly the worst movies ever, at least moonwalker has some cool signing and dancing, there was only a couple of peformances i liked in the Prince's movies (purple rain excluded of course), most music movies have no real plot anyway just good music (supposedly).

Ghosts is amazing, the effects, the dance routines, the humour, the music, and it is quite touching. Moonwalker does loook rather dated now but most music movies get outdated quick, i used love that 'transformer' (anyone else play with those ?) type machine mj would turn in to at the end.

it may not seem brilliant now, at at the time of its release the effects etc were amazing!

no doubt is better than graffiti bridge!

and the whole fing as a hole is really good, the speed demon video etc

Ha, I haven't seen it in years. I know it's one of the best selling music home videos ever. We used to have a copy at primary school and we would all go into a room on rainy days and we were allowed to watch it.

I used to think I was really clever for working out that Frankie Lideo was a take on Frank Dileo

Ah, so cheesy. After watching all the music clips I'd just fast forward through the silly story to get to Smooth Criminal. The opening performance of Man In The Mirror is amazing though.
