It had a story 2 it... it begins like a movie, a guy who hates love - Love Hater He was asking god for a woman - god cupid struck him on "happy valentines" he met this girl at the club n fucked her - Spread the morinin after he thinks that she is "the one" - Prototype / where r my panties enjoying her - she lives in my lap celebrating her - hey ya realizes that she is stupid and bitches 2 much - roses meets another lady - behold a lady she is too old for him - pink and blue makes love - love & war these ones r off topic though... "She's Alive" a very lovely song about his mother... the interlude - Take Off Your Cool - I dont like this song and didnt c y he put it in here. --- Draculas Wedding - he want to marry his woman but he is scared of love and commitment still... Vibrate this is thee cut. Anyway realizes that the best thing to do than being with some1 is just to masturbate... Its a sad story, and makes a funky album. Speakerboxx is really just ur normal Hip Hop album but it still captures some smart elements that hip hop is missing jazzy funk. Ghetto Muzik, The Way U Move, Church, War, and Bowtie are some must listens. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I tend to agree. It's a great album, but it's def. overrated.
Actually it reminds me of 'The Miseducation...' (which was a mĂșch better album IMHO): it's really great at first, and basically remains great, but certain things get on your nerves. With the Miseducation it were the (god-awfull, oh so lovely) interludes, and mmm well, with The Love Below, it's also the interludes :d Guess u just don't like interludes. "It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."

Regardless of if anyone thinks its overrated or not.. The album has done fully what it was supposed to achieve, No'one should have to point that out for u.

It is a tad overrated. But how long has it been since we have seen a truly creative album by hip-hop artists have such mainstream recognition and success? I would say, not since "Miseducation." There have been some very good LPs during that time, but few have sold well. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I think this album deserves every accolade it gets. It was, without a doubt, the best hip-hop album of 2003. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Compared to every hip-hop - and almost every other release - in 2003? I don't think so.

that says it all right there ! The Love Below = one long rip off of Parade to Lovesexy Speakerboxxx = one instantly forgettable crappy hip hop album Hey Ya = 1 great track Attitude of both albums towards women = tasteless at best, verging on the misogynistic Overall 4/10

I got this cd for christmas and I must say that at first I wondered what all the fuss was about, but after listening to both cd's several times, I really like both of them. I like the love below better though. The love below is funny, sexy, romantic and the music is very cool. I wouldn't give it a 10/10, but I would give it at least a 7/10.
