Unwell - Matchbox 20 (or any Matchbox 20 single)

any of the Nickelback singles

Baby Boy - Beyonce

Through the Rain - Ms. Mariah

I'm Glad - J. lo

Whatyoulookinat - Whitney

One More Chance - MJ

Milkshake - Kelis

Rod Stewart's singles (makes the 80's sound good)

Through The Rain, Whatchulookinat, and I'm Glad were all songs that were released on CD in 2002 (on Charmbracelet, Just Whitney, and This Is Me...Then respectively).

Sorry Babe,
Mariah's single for Through the Rain/Bringing on the Heartbreak was released Feb 4, 2003. She was STILL pushin that shit in Feb.

J. Lo's I'm Glad was released July 8, 2003

Whitney's cd was released Dec. 10 2002, whatulookinat tried to make a comeback with remixes released to clubs after Try it on my On. I'll give you that one

But the question was not "worst single" of 2003, but "worst song". These are 2002 songs is all I'm sayin'.

Mariah saw October-December 2002 radio play for Through The Rain (although it didn't chart until sales kicked in for a few weeks, peaking at 81). However, it did chart on the AC charts in 2002 so I really wouldn't consider that a 2003 song, especially considering Billboard's chart rules (radio play accounts for most chart points). Once it's shipped to radio it's a single and that's the year of its release (as a single). IDJ/Monarc was planning a commercial single for November, but hastily withdrew it when the track failed at radio. Later, it was rescheduled as a half-assed cheapie in Feb.

I'm Glad was readily available on This Is Me...Then in 2002. A 2003 single, yes. But a song that was released in 2002.

Whatchulookinat was originally released to radio (and as a commercial single) in August 2002, actually. It was quickly withdrawn and failed entirely so they started to promote One Of Those Days and when that failed they went to Try It On My Own. Later, they served the clubs with some bland remixes.

Because labels basically don't release commercial singles in the US anymore (and when they do, it's 3-4 months after radio impact date, usually), it's pretty inaccurate to use those as reference points for single release dates.

I think that "Whatchulookinat" was barely a single! It got no radioplay at all and I didn't even know it existed. That was the poorest excuse for a debut single in so many ways for a megastar like Whitney. I'm sure she is very happy about this news.

I recently bought an import single for "Try It On My Own" and the only really bland remix on there was the one that they tried to push, the one by Thunderpuss. It really stunk and just didn't work with the vocals well. "On My Own" had promise but a pretty sucky video (as did "Whatchu..." which I saw on the net but only saw glimpses of the "One Of Those Days" video which looked OK. "Just Whitney" is a good album but Artista dropped the ball as they have been doing way to often. Bye, bye La Reid!

i still can't believe how bad that video to "try it on my own" was. if they had done something with that video and released some hot remixes like they did with her previous album, that song would have been big. the album is an average r&b album.

Did Mariah's "Boy" come out in 2003? If so, I'm going with that
