Fiona Apple What do you guys think? I love her. I think her voice is great, she puts so much emotion into her music.
I especially love "Shadowboxer", "Love Ridden", "Sleep to Dream", "Limp", "Pale September" and her version of "Across the Universe". Also, there's no denying "Criminal" is an awesome, awesome video. I looked to see if there's any upcoming work from her, but there doesn't seem to be any...

I was diggin her at first, but she did some stupid speech at some awards show, it just turned everyone off.

I love her too. Her voice is beautiful, smooth, emotive.
I'd like to hear some new shit from her too, but it seems unlikely; "When The Pawn..." was a tough act to follow. And as for that award speech, it was preachy n all, but okay.

I'm looking forward to her new album. She's a great talent. Limp and Sleep to Dream are two of my favorite tracks by her.

Paper Bag On the Bound Never is a Promise Across the Universe Oh, heck... all of 'em. She's da bomb. I may not be getting a new GirlBros, Sundays or Dionne Farris album anytime soon. But, I can look forward to hearing the latest from Fiona sometime in the '04. And that's a good thing.

it just shows how f'd the industry/consumers are, that her sophmore LP was basically, ignored.
that album is sick! her 1st was a great intro, but she definitly stepped it up on the next.

Well an artist like Fiona is a nightmare to sell. She's pretty, but she's a "serious" artist who'll never go pop, and she'd never take her gear off for a non-artistic reason (in reference to Criminal)

...very eloquently said! an soo true, i really hate "POP", it has no substance, but i do have alittle negative opinion about her on this one little thing, its that, she really needs to polish up her "acceptance speeches" or seriously think about her "media presense"...she can really "look" "blonde" sometimes! *... that album is sick! her 1st was a great intro, but she definitly stepped it up on the next. Yes, she and Jon Brion are extremely great studio partners. His production is extremely sophisticated, quirky and seems to extrapolate her songwriting's textures in a timeless, hook-laden way. Not enough superlatives for those two.
