More songs of the 80s being covered for next Sandler/Barrymore movie... FOr you 80s fanatics like me:
THE CURE's 'Lovecats' has been covered by 311 for use on the soundtrack of the forthcoming Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler movie '50 First Dates'. The soundtrack also features UB40's doing a version of THE POLICE's 'Every Breath You Take', SEAL covering Echo's 'Lips Like Sugar', Ziggy Marley doing THE CARS' 'Drive' and Black Eyed Peas performing SPANDAU BALLET's 'True'. Let the rain come down...17 days....

You know what, I've gotta see this movie now, just to see how bad these artists butcher these classic songs. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

That might sound cool! That might work very well. I can almost even hear it now in my head...he really made "Fly Like An Eagle" his own when he covered it for that stupid Michael Jordan/Looney Tunes excercise in synergy, "Space Jam"). What might not be cool is 311 covering "Lovecats". Great orginal and to be covered by such a terrible band!
