i think the drums are from "genius of love" (tom tom club)

one of the 90s best pop songs

Did you mean Return of the mack or Genius of love as one of the best 90s pop songs?

The melody and lyrics of the song don't ripoff anybody though, just similarities to Booker/TomTom etc in instrumentation, it's called sampling. Return Of The Mack is a great song as is the album of the same name.

This song borrowed much more from Chuckii Booker's 'Games' than it ever could from 'Genius Of Love'...

Yeah the chords are from Games; just the drum loop is from Genius Of Love.

I actually have Mark Morrison's CD boxed...its somewhere lol if I find it then I'll check the song credits 4 u all 2 see what the song samples.

As 4 Mark Morrison, his last vocal apperance 2 my knowledge is on a song called 'Best Friend' with another UK R&B singer, Conner Reeves...not sure if it was released in the US but u should check the song out cuz it's a cool track.

My first thought when I heard this song was, 'Who copied 'Games' by Chuckii Booker?'. That said, I bought the CD single and I still play it on occasion.

Who said anything about "Fantasy"?

I posted the drums from Tom Tom Club "Genius Of Love" which Mark Morrison "Return Of The Mack" used.

Yes, coincidentally, Mariah and co. also used those same drums along with the main riff/lyrics from "Genius of Love" [1981].

FANTASY was there before that MACK. so when i was done listening to Mariah (and i listened to that disc for weeks), i couldn't stand Mark Morrison anymore.
yes SIR!
