MJ already released a live album:Jacksons Live 1981

The set list is heavily MJ influenced (duh). 5 songs from Off T e Wall are performed as main numbers and his damn shoes and sparkly socks are the back cover lol. Sure it's a precursor and better to the Victory Tour which did not catch the magic of this Triumph tour.

"can I come down there?" MJ singing She's Out Of My Life lol

MJ was the bomb diggidy
"Climb in my fur."

I was an MJ fantic before I met Prince..still remained loyal to him but not heavy. However I never purchased Thriller on cd (yet) because I played that mutherfucker out in 82-83

Still, this album is great, Heartbreak Hotel and the ultra funky version of Don't Stop kick much ass.

You NEED the Thriller special edition then. There's a bit more on it and it's a fantastic remaster.

Lovely One is too funky on this live album, and I love the drumming from Jonathan Moffett who was one of the first stick twirling funky men I'd ever seen.

Jacksons Live is a great album! This thread brings back lots of memories; I got this one on vinyl when it came out in '81. The version of "Heartbreak Hotel" on this project just destroys the studio version. I believe I felt the same way about "Lovely One" as well.
