the new Duran duran "greatest" DVD I just bought it a few days ago and love the videos (it's nice to see the Cheuffer in high-quality and not from some vhs rebottlegged tape from early 80s) but i'm having trouble finding out where the "hidden" interviews and alt. video footage is as stated on the dvd (sayd the astericks next to the songs have this). Can someone advise? Thanks!!! PG Let the rain come down...17 days....

(I'm still trying to make sense out of all this.)
• Go to Union of the Snake on the sub menu, hit the left arrow key, press play or enter on your remote and view the Dancing on the Valentine version. • Once you have played the first default version of New Moon on Monday, reselecting the video gives you a different version. Similarly, reselecting the uncensored Girls on Film reveals an alternate ending. Ditto Wild Boys for another version. • Enter Le Galerie de Duran by clicking the 'A' in the word 'GREATEST' on the main menu. This pulls up a gallery featuring the group's album covers and singles sleeves. When the Planet Earth single sleeve is enlarged, go to the bottom single sleeve (Girls on Film) and press the left arrow button. This takes you to a ''hot spot.'' Press play or enter. • On the Girls on Film (Short Censored Version) clip, click to enlarge the sleeve. Go to the Play screen icon and press remote's play/enter. • A Day in the Life featurette is available by highlighting the third single sleeve down while an album sleeve is enlarged. Hit right arrow key and then play/enter. • While the Seven and the Ragged Tiger sleeve is enlarged, press the up arrow key, then play/enter to hear the band discuss the 1983 LP. • Watch bandmates chat about the Wild Boys clip by pressing the up arrow key next to the screen's Play icon when its sleeve is enlarged. Hit play/enter. The group's John and Andy Taylor discuss the 007 View to a Kill clip, too. While on that sleeve, go to the Play icon, hit the right arrow, press play/enter. • On the second DVD, enter Le Galerie as on the first disc. To see the Liberty album's press kit, highlight that album's sleeve, slide to the left top single sleeve and press the up arrow key, then play/enter. Also, enlarge the Serious single sleeve, go to its parent album Liberty and press the right arrow key, then play/enter. • Enlarge the Come Undone sleeve. Go to Play icon, press left arrow key, then play/enter.

I got this info from a Duran Duran message board. It was still hard to figure some of this out, since I JUST got a dvd player... This is the best duran message board: http://pub2.ezboard.com/b...oards.html The Day in the Life Feature about recording 7 and the Ragged Tiger is pretty cool. But it was a bitch to figure out how to get in there, even though I had these instructions... Also, I just installed a dvd drive into my computer, so I poped it in for the dvd-rom extras. Cool interview clips (audio) and some wallpapers, a screensaver and a nice gallery with some juicy pics. Have fun finding it all! I sure wish this was a 3 cd set, so they could have included Lonely In Your Nightmare, Do You Believe In Shame, Out of My Mind, and heck, how about the Arcadia and Power Station videos?

Disappointed that the Too Much Information video isn't featured on it, and the whole menu layout is crap
I don't know if the R2 version is any different to the US R1 one because we got ours released a couple of months ago.

Yeah I was gonna mention that one too. (My Own Way) Nightboat and Meet El Presidente would have been cool as well. I mean, why narrow it down? Check out this website for all their videos in real media format. I still have to check out the videos for Breath After Breath and Femme Fetale. http://www.duranduran.co.uk/ Select the multimedia menu and you'll see a link for videos. They have all the Arcadia and Power Station videos as well!

Thanks Violator for posting those great instructions! I had a great time watching all these interviews and alternate videos! I got some mudslides and had a Duran Duran night!
Planet Earth - Club Version is so cool! Filmed at the Rum Runner, where it all began. Everybody was dressed sooo 80s/New Wave. Its was a flashback. Girls on Film - Alternate Ending. Thanks for not spoiling the alternate ending. New Moon on Monday - long movie version (17:41) I've seen a few versions of this video but not this one! I didn't even know it exsisted. Lots of great shots of Nick and Roger! Really cool to see all this footage. A Day in the Life, from the Rio era. Very cool interviews and behind the scenes stuff. I want to find a transcript of this. The interviews are cool. One of the things I love the most about Duran is how intelligent they are in interviews and how focused they are about their creativity. Midsummer Nights Tube Feature. Nick and Simon discuss recording 7 and the Ragged Tiger. I looove studio talk. Wild Boys Inteview. I watched Roger even though Simon did most of the talking. It's kind of sad to know that Roger was on the verge of losing it and quiting the business around that time. They said they used Nile as a producer for the Wild Boys as a test to see if they wanted him to produce the next Duran record. Of course, Nile did end up producing Notorious, but Roger and Andy were gone by then. Liberty - Electronic Press Kit. Liberty is one of their best albums, imo. They talk about how they recorded this cd as a five piece band after the Big Thing tour, in about 2 weeks. Nick said they had 3/4 of the album written in 14 days, then they took a break and went back later to finish it up. That makes so much sense. I can see the Big Thing influence on it now. Their plans were to record the next album and then tour, with all the new material and only play old hits during the encores. I wish they would have done that. I don't think I've heard ANY of Liberty live, except for Serious on the MTV unplugged performance. Jedi, you gotta check all this out? By the way, what do you think about the light sabres in the New Moon on Monday Video?

The Fight Club actor threw the fancy dress bash last week to mark his birthday, and even sang a karaoke version of the eighties band's hit Wild Boys And Friends star Jennifer - who dressed up as Helen of Troy in tribute to Brad's latest film Troy - was overjoyed. I can still remember the first time I saw the promo pictures for 'Seven and the Ragged Tiger' and finally deciding that I had to have jazz shoes. Me and a friend of mine must have spent at least five hours scouring different shopping malls in the area until we finally found some white Porto Fino's. I was in heaven...
