Hi Vina

New Order were always a wild band. I've got their original English albums. U know they used 2 b one of those bands who never released singles off their albums. "Blue Monday" was only added onto "Power, Corruption & Lies" for other territories. All their singles were brand new songs with brand new b-sides

It was only when they did "LowLife" that they started doing single off their albums. That's why "Substance" was so popular, because it was the first time that many of those tracks had been available of CD. Disc 1 was all your a-sides and Disc 2 was best of the b-sides and instrumentals

Here in the UK, there's a really bad "Best Of New Order" album which has a lot of badly re-recorded versions of tracks. The versions of "Round & Round" and "1963" being particularly bad

Anyway, my fave New Order:-

Your Silent Face (they still do this one live!)
Perfect Kiss
Touched By The Hand Of God
Blue Monday
True Faith (that's what got me into 'em)
1963 (original 'True Faith' b-side version, not the fucking foul re-recording they released as a single many years later)
Procession

I've seen them live twice!

Prior to forming New Order, Joy Division were a fantastic band, some may say a little on the dark side but that made them so original. Their greatest hits CD ~Substance 1977 - 1980~ is a must for all. Best hits from this album are ~Love Will Tear Us Apart~ and ~No Love Lost~. For more avid fans, their final album ~Closer~ is a great experience. Curtis suicided prior to the release date so U can expect it to be a little dark reflecting on his life at the time. Regardless, it is an innovative and massively influential unique rock record – by a band that only existed for three years.

After Curtis' Death, the 3 remaining members formed New Order. Possibly the best decision made by guitarist Sumner was to step up and take over vocals. After the release of ~Power, Corruption, Lies~, Blue Monday became a 12" hit at clubs worldwide. Best New Order albums are ~Substance 1987~ and ~Republic~. My fav songs are Touched By The Hand Of God, Bizarre Love Triangle, Crystal, Blue Monday and Confusion.

In between, Sumner took time to team up with Marr of the Smiths and formed Electronic. They released 3 albums ~Electronic~, ~Raise The Pressure~ and ~Twisted Tenderness~, their first self titled album I find to be the best of all, with some really rocking tracks.
