secret life of plants

I've had this cd for quite q while ,but never really listened to it.I'm very partial to other Stevie albums. Some of this is reallyw eird and freaky, but I am digging on "race babbling" right now ,for some reason.

I have been listening to some of the same music and mixes alot so,I am pushing myself toward different sounds and visiting cd's I have purchased that I haven't really given a chance. So,I made a mix of stuff that I thought made an interesting flow:

airbag-radiohead
millionaire-kelis
race babbling-stevie wonder
elevation-u2
surprise-radiohead
vibes and stuff-tribe called quest
once upon a daydream-the police
song for the deaf-queens of the stone age
hey ya-outkast
penelope please-ttd
green book-steely dan
everybody is a star-sly and family stone
six days-dj shadow
ponderosa-tricky
rhythm bandits-junior senior
2+2=5-radiohead
love song#1-meshell ndegeocello
party(remix)-nelly furtado
"I'm a pig..so,magic elixir I swill"

Sinister

That Stevie record was supposed to be a soundtrack to a movie that they ended up canning wasn't it?

I love "..Secret Life of Plants." I bought this album when I started collecting Stevie back in '94. I was 18 and home on Christmas vacation from college.

I remeber listening to this on a dreary Saturday afternoon while Car Wash was on tv. It is very unusual and brilliant. Even though critics and Motown wanted this album buried at the time,I think it's great.

I agree. 'Secret Life Of Plants' is one of my all time favorite concept albums. Thematically and musically unified.

I love this album. My favorite song is "Power Flower".I love the way he sings it in a higher voice quite different than his usual.
