Stevie and Marvin - If u had to choose, wouldn't that just be the hardest thing? I put 'Songs In The Key Of Life' on the other day and let the opening to 'Loves In Need...' wash over me, and swore that Stevie Wonder was THE greatest of all time. When 'I Wish' came on I had a smile from ear to ear.
But then a few nights back I was listening to Marvin's 'Distant Lover' and nearly cried with joy hearing the passionate singing. That man had an awesome voice, just fucking incredible. Words can't say. I could never choose between these too. Stevie was (is, kinda) so creative, with melodies plucked from somewhere better than heaven. Marvin could sing amazingly in about 3 or 4 different ways with such passion it was unbelievable. Both were great singers and wonderfully imaginative, and both in particular were superb vocal arrangers. Could u choose one over the other? I'll never be able to, and thankfully don't really have to.

I have to be in a certain mood to listen to Marvin, but I could listen to Stevie anytime. Thank goodness I don't have to choose but if I did, it would be Stevie.

That's like choosing between the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
Can't do it. Shouldn't do it. Won't do it.

Had to choose? Stevie. Quite easily. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

If I absolutely had to choose, as much as I love Marvin's artistry, I would choose Stevie -- without hesitation, I might add.
