MJ Negativity

just a little observation i made, sometimes the mj discussions are more active on here than a proper mj site lol I know mj is in the news alot these days but even when he isn't doing much there are constant discussions about him here.
Im a big Prince and MJ fan so I think its cool, but I noticed a lot of ppl don't like him on here so doesn't it bother the other orgers who aren't interested in MJ that his issues kinda dominate a couple of the forums ?
Also for the MJ fans does the constant negativity annoy you ?
Personally it doesnt bother me either way but i thought it would be interesting to see what some other people thought...

I've never been a fan of michale's (in fact the only albums of his I own are "off the wall" & "thriller").

While his issues do get a bit tiresome, it's understandable why it's such a popular topic for dicussion.

And if I want to talk about something non-mj related I'll start up my own thread; can't stop people from talking about what they want to talk about.

This forum, like the entire Org itself, regenerates the some of the same topics over time. It's cyclical when it comes to many topics: sometimes it's Madonna, sometimes it's MJ, a while back it was R. Kelly, a couple of months ago a lot of people were starting Outkast threads due to their latest album and its very Princely influence.

There is a contingent of very vocal Michael Jackson fans here, and since he is in the news constantly for things going on in his personal life mostly, that type of news tends to dominate here. And due to his very public personal life, most everybody has an opinion about him and whatever is going on with him.

But I'm sure if you checked any other non-MJ site you'd find the exact same type of arguments/discussions/debates about him that you find here.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I don't know, but I won't be posting in any more MJ threads. His fans always seem to want to jump all over anyone who doesn't believe 100% in his innocence and infallibility. Such a blinkered point-of-view.

lol I cannot tell you how many times I've heard someone say that..."I'm not a fan,but I do own 'Off The Wall' and 'Thriller'...lol...it's become such a cliche.I guess it's easy for some people to be a fan of the MUSIC and not the person, but I've always had a hard time doing this.

yeah...but if thats their belief how else do you expect them to react?

sorta like screaming fire in a theater and then getting shocked that people get up and run...

My guess is that it's simply because folk don't want to believe that children have been abused by him. Is there anyone who really wants to believe that he's done such a terrible thing? Any person with half a brain can see that he's an eccentric but that doesn't mean that he's a criminal.

Big difference between saying "he might not be innocent" and "he's definitely a criminal" (we'll need a trial to determine that). But, yeah, people don't want to think about the possibility.

I thought you weren't posting on MJ threads anymore. wink

Personally, I want to believe he's innocent simply because I don't like the idea of being a fan of a paedophile. However, I appreciate that I might be wrong and if he is found to be guilty then it's very possible that I won't listen to his music ever again.

I don't think there's any MJ fans on here like that, not from what i've seen.

I might go off on one a bit when the trial starts, that's going to be hard.

Maybe it's because MJ fans tend to be younger but I also noticed a large amount are unable to construct a decent argument. I rarely go to MJ boards now because of it.
The 'MJ Bashing' here gets a bit silly at times but it would be too dull if everyone had the same opinion and besides as bad as they are some of the comments do make me laugh.

Strange that an artist who's supposedly over the hill and supposedly a danger to children attracts many young fans still, but you're right. I don't visit MJ forums much myself because of all the 'Michael is so gorgeous and sexy' threads that proliferate on them.

I always thought he was really handsome in the Thriller era, and even respectable during the Bad era (but by then he'd started to whittle away at his facial structure), but now it's hard sometimes to look at him.

VS.

He used to have such beautiful eyes and nice soft lips. I used to love this man when I was a little girl and I had every intention of marrying him when I grew up. I wonder what it was that he saw in himself to make him want to make the foolish physical changes that he made?disbelief

Good for you for saying that.

He doesn't look that much different from 10 years ago IMO, i'd say it's a few years since he last had surgery. I'd hazard a guess at 5 or more.

Well he does have a unique face for sure. He claims that the shape of his face is changing due to maturation. No way did his face change that hard without surgery. I'm talking about the dimple in the chin, the cheeks etc... He is the same weight as me, last time I checked anyway, and his face is much skinnier than mine. I think he definitely has implants going on there.

Cheek implants definitely. If you've got an eye for these things, you can actually see where they start and stop.
BTW, he's 5'11'' and 120lbs. Waaay too skinny. No wonder he was bruised so easily. You could touch him and he'd clot, I'm sure.

I'm 5'10 and 118. My face isn't nearly as skinny. Well now that I think about it, skinny isn't the right word. All I know is that his face isn't changing because of maturation. I'm going through maturation myself and the landscape of my face isn't changing like that.

Lol, Madge is proud of that. I remember when Glamour removed that little defect on her cover photo in 1990, she was extremely pissed and refused to accept their Woman Of The Year award. She likes that imperfection, and it's a common one.

All the jacksons have high cheekbones i wouldnt say that its implants, also the make up and the lighting play a large role.
its obvious hes had his chin done, his eyebrows reshaped and of course his nose. but the rest i genuinley think is due to aging, its just silly to compare someone in their teens to someone in thier late forties. i look completley different from five years ago! But what the hell its his cute little face he can do what he wants with it lol
