alot of great songs, but really - these things are so subjective. And something I firmly believe: older does not necessarily mean better. Why is it the vast majority of these tracks are "oldies"? For some reason, modern music is looked down upon.

I like most of those selections, but I don't agree with the Sex Pistols. Always hated them.

the sex pistols along with the clash...spawned about 100 bands overnite, they shook the music industry 2 its core punk rock was the last great rock n roll train robbery !!!the amount of independent labels which sprung from punk was unbelievable, they stuck 2 fingers up at the big corporations in such a way the corporations had 2 buy em all up at a cost of millions !!! the only thing that has threatened the the music industry since punk rock is mp3's , computer file sharing ! yes my friends thats how big the sex pistols were !!!

THE GREATEST ROCK N ROLL SWINDLE !!!

According to Brian Wilson, that's the #1 most influential pop record (and the best) of all time. Can't disagree there.

and 2. what about this one?
It's my party and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you

or this one:

I'm not content to be with you in the daytime
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
The only time I feel alright is by your side
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
All day and all of the night

or almost anything by The Supremes of this time

Yes, The Supremes' absence is glaring on that list.

Anxiety

There's this obscure little singer named David Bowie who might deserve to have a song or twelve on that list.
