Two sides of Mariah Carey just pondering...ever notice when MC is pushing a big ole power ballad everything in the video is kinda classy? flowing gowns, cheering fans...big hair soft lights..but when she does her street videos with (insert popular hip-hop producer of the moment name here)..she's straight up skeeze..in dental floss and boots riding on the hood of a car...you think this was her downfall..alienating a split fanbase? you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I never really thought of that before, Jlo does the same though, shes all glamour at the movie shows and all ghetto on the music shows

Alienating her fanbase is what she's good at. She slutted it up when everyone thought she was the classy girl next door.
J.Lo was never the girl next door. This is why there's no backlash.

She's always played more than one style and image
She's one of the ony peple who can share the same fan base as Celine Dion and Barbara Streiesand at same time do a record with Mobb Deep and Wu tang clan then a Cameo duet then to the club with David Morales and do all these styles with ease while also been credible to both r&b/hip hop audiences and middle america

I didnt like ANY song with rappers on it in that album. Oh an yes I like rap, but not with her on the record on the same time (unless it's Jay Z or Da Brat or Missy, or Snoop) lol Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.
