BEST SONG OF 2003

I vote 'Where is the love' by 'The black eyedpeas'
taken from the album 'Elephunk'

For best hit I'd have to go with "Crazy In Love" and "Hey Ya".

For best non-hit I'd have to go with "New Killer Star" and "Nothing Fails".

Agreed. "Where Is The Love" is very derivative and bland (to me).

You would pick exactly these 4 songs?

Yes, oddly enough. They're probably my 4 favourites of the year. I would also have to include anything from Annie Lennox's "Bare" album under the 'non-hits' category though (unfortunately, they weren't hits).

Yeah, Pavement Cracks and Loneliness would be up there for me too.

'where is the love?' has the corniest hook ever.
i wouldn't vote for this song even if prince was on it.
i'm going for 'crazy in love'--nice song and a big hit!

I was wondering just earlier today if one song stood out from all the rest I've heard this year...

Red Rover - Fleetwood Mac.

I don't know why, tho'. hmm
Guess I just think it's a great song.

i've been wavering on this issue between about 3 or 4 songs:

Pavement Cracks - Annie Lennox
New Killer Star - David Bowie
Bandit - Neil Young & Crazy Horse
The Have and the Have Nots - Phil Roy

as for hit singles, hands down for me it's Hey Ya! - Outkast

It's definitely the best song off the Say You Will album. It kinda reminds me of Tusk and confirms Buckinghams genius.

I'd have to say "Hey Ya" or "Crazy in Love," the latter of which I'm not even a big fan of -- but it is infectious.
