Foo Fighters - Everywhere But Home DVD I picked this up for $11.98 at Suncoast.
1 full concert Then several individual performances from other tours, including a nice Dave Grohl solo acoustic set. Then another complete tour (in audio only) but they cycle through hundreds of candid band photos while its playin. all on one DVD. Fantastic performance! Starts off a bit sloppy, Dave is a little too excited and keeps screaming out "Oh Yeah! Are you ready? Here we go! WAAAHHH!!!" But things quickly tighten up and several of the songs are extended with some freaking cool dreamy guitar moments, much like what Prince does at the end of ICNTTPOYM. Dave Grohls solo acoustic version of Everlong really caught me by suprise. Better and way more personal than the original. At one point Dave is talkin to the audience, and some guy is distracting him off to the side and Dave replies "Do you mind?.....I'll suck your dick after the show dude!" ROTFL! The best rock band in America right now.
Other bands could learn a thing or two from this DVD or the Tenacious D DVD. "It's that Coqui 900, can I have me a sip"

I LOVE the FOO. I'm gonna pick this up. Thanx for the review,Tom!! Dave Grohl is a funny cat. Has anybody ever heard the live version of "Ain't It The Life" where Dave is changing the lyrics? "try livin' a lie, and makin' out with a stripper in your car"..."stay away from GHB. That sh**'s for bodybuilder's and something you don't need in your system". Love that dude. Other bands could learn a thing or two from this DVD or the Tenacious D DVD. I'll have to pick up the new DVD. Their last album was really mediocre though, almost like they had to release something to appease the record label. Low and Times Like These were the only really great songs on there. If they ever manage to top The Color and The Shape they'll have released one of the great rock albums ever. | |
