Maybe he could just do a candid interview for once, and be honest about his surgery, his eccentricities and his financial situation. I'd respect him a whole lot more. I agree, another tour of his house will just serve to alienate him more from the American public.

I couldn't give a crap about his surgery. He never even lies about it, he just goes all vague (when he says two he means two places, not two surgeries) and acts like it's none of anyone's business, which it isn't.

Honest about his financial situation? He never even uttered any words about it to Bashir, just the odd "yes" and "in that area". I don't see why that's anyone's business either. I don't go knocking on my neighbours' doors demanding they give me copies of their bank statements. Besides, the guy made several HUGE investments in 2002 that were just ignored when all those 'near bankruptcy' claims were flying aroundin the press (MDP Worldwide, Acuff Rose catalogue).

The ONLY thing I'd personally like MJ to clear up with the public is the Vitiligo thing. We saw his leg after the spider bite. I've seen several pictures over the years, but the general public are still unaware. He's sensitive to it obviously, but in the mid 80s just ignoring the issue and playing up the larger than life image just damaged him in the long run.

A Vitiligo Society has apparently contacted him about it several times but he never accepted. He is an advocate for Lupus though, which was brought on by Vitiligo. Jermaine (I know I know, he's not the most reliable person) has said he has it, Michael went to that benefit this year, and it would explain the whole weird lip/swollen hands thing.

Yeah, MJ's whole problem over the years has MAYBE been his shyness. He's a shitty public speaker. He's said the word "Vitiligo" just twice and he has never elaborated on it. Although most of the time in the Bashir documentary I thought it was funny, like a private joke. I dunno, I could see him f*cking around with him whenever a stupid question was asked.

Like before the thing aired there were ads everywhere with a quote "Why do you prefer climbing trees to making love?". Ha, that was never asked. All MJ did was say that climbing trees was his favourite thing in the world to do (*cue giggles from Ellie*), and he just kept quiet and walked off when Mr. Potato Head cynically said "Really, not even making love" [sic]

actually i think MJ is an impressive public speaker, but he doesn't want to talk about his medical problems and thats understandable. hes an entertainer why should his medical details be relevant ? i can see why people are fascinated by it all and how if he were to come forward a little it may benifit other sufferers, however, by doing what hes doing now hes not hurting anyone. i know ppl with vitiligo and many don't like referring to it or telling people that they have it, people are quite ignorant about it and its less hassle not to say anything i guess.
anyway, id love to watch more of mj in neverland, anything with him in is bound to be interesting as he so rarely does those sort of things (granted they are becoming slightly more frequent) im sure if he did an interview everyday in neverland both he and his home would still have that element of mystery. but im a big mj fan so id watch anything with him...

he doesnt ask for that air time. its not as if he deliberatley makes himself look odd just because he has an album coming out.
the only reason it gets air time is because some people have nothing better to do than put others down, a show praising a person is rarely a good watch so for the sole purpose of ratings people always focus on negativity, some audiences are slow enough to fall into that; others try not to be so ignorant.
mj doesn't belong to the public hes got no responsibilities or dues to us, if you like him buy his cds if you dont then dont. its that simple. i dont see why people are so into his face tho...

BUT on Bashir he said he uses nothing to bleach his skin. It is "Nature"??? Oh please, it's impossible to bleach skin to the extent MJ has changed. Vitiligo destroys the pigment and the natual protection from UV rays, increasing the risk of skin cancer.
