The Pixies Reunite! If everything is true, Frank Black has anounced that The Pixies will reunite for a summertour in Europe in 2004. First date confirmed is the Werchter festival in Belgium. Let us hope Kim Deal stays off the drugs until then...

Kim's not as much of a problem as her sister, but Kim's not exactly a teetotaller her self, ha... I'm not sure if this reunion's something I'm so excited about. I don't know that they can recapture their past glory, or if they like each other enough to put the work into going into a fresh new direction. A few reunion concerts might be cool, but every time I see the cover of the most recent Jane's Addiction album, I just think to myself that sometimes it's a good idea when bands break up and stay broken up...

A friend of mine went to see JA last summer and said they were awesome. As for The Pixies, you are probably right. Still, I´d like to give them the benefit of the doubt, they have a great repetoire! Let´s wait and see..

I've seen them live before, they are a very tight group. They blew Janes Addiction off the stage when I saw them. Hugely influencial group of the late 80s early 90s Can't wait to hear what they can come up with these days. All the gals say hoe if your man's giving up the gold. All the fellas say ruff if you're only giving up the bone.

I just hope it's not crap. The Frank Black solo stuff and most recent Breeders album were far from stellar.

After that, I gotta admit I lost interest. All the gals say hoe if your man's giving up the gold. All the fellas say ruff if you're only giving up the bone.

"Last Splash" and especially "Pod" are brilliant as well.

I'd love that too. BTW, doesn't Frank Black say this all the time? How true is it?

Not bad but not good enough to listen to again. However, I do love "Teenager Of the Year", which I think was his second album. What was the first one called?

I talk to a kid who books tours and he said that the Pixies are in the process of doing this!

The Janes album cover is a disgrace and one of the worst sleeves of all time. I cannot believe Perry and co allowed it to be used. A real pity as the album was consistently good and occasionally brilliant. The problem with reunions is that to most people they represent memories. Janes are playing some blinding shows but people want 1990 and the band strung out on drugs. The same will apply to the Pixies. Bands who reunite can't really win.
