HELP : Is anyone here a member of duranduranmusic.com?

I want to know whether it's worth buying membership for my wife for Christmas.

We already have tickets for a show in April later next year in the UK but I am wondering what the VIP benefits are and how much they cost?

Any help anyone can give, mucho appreciated.

I bought it here in the US and it was $35. That gets you presale info for tickets and access to photo galleries of recent shows. Right now just these are up:

New York, Webster Hall - August 27, 2003

Atlantic City - November 8, 2003

Washington, DC - November 9, 2003

Philadelphia - November 10, 2003

Cleveland - November 13, 2003

Toronto - November 14, 2003

Detroit - November 15, 2003

Chicago Travel Package - November 16, 2003

Chicago - November 17, 2003

Chicago - November 18, 2003

Chicago - November 19, 2003

Atlanta Travel Package - November 20, 2003

Atlanta - November 21, 2003

New Orleans - November 22, 2003

These are mostly pics of fans with the band and some live shots.

So it's $295 (£200) for a chance to be picked out of a hat to meet the band?

Seems a bit pricey. Thanks for the info though.

Yeah I didn't go for that either. So the membership really just gets you access to the presale. They had travel packages too, which were like 2000 that included airfare and a hotel night, plus a gaurenteed meeting with the band.

The club also has had a few contests. It's not that expensive to join, and if your wife is a fan I think it would make a lovely Christmas present.

Yeah, only I don't mind giving DD my money.

Lots of people are doing clubs now with presales and travel packages. Sting has one now too. Must be the same company doing this for all these artists.

I'm still waiting for the exclusive downloads... shrug
