Whitney Houston has decided not to press charges against her husband Bobby Brown after he slapped her in a fight.

The "How Do I Know" singer put on a brave face Wednesday when she went to the North Fulton, Georgia police station, where she filed a domestic abuse report on Sunday.

The confused diva called police claiming her husband had hit her after threatening to "beat her a**" in a family argument. Brown then fled to California. He has since apologized to his wife in a statement and begged for her forgiveness.

Houston arrived at the police station Wednesday singing from her SUV and desperately trying to cover the large bruise on the left side of her face.

State law in Georgia means even if Houston insists on not charging her husband, prosecutors can still go ahead and automatically charge him on domestic abuse grounds

well i hope she at least leaves him.

You know, I've never really bought into the idea that someone could drag you down as a person. But man, if that shit did apply to anybody it's Whitney. You look at her now and you don't even recognize that little songbird from the early 80's.

Of course Whitney won't press charges on Bobby, but he will hit her again and next time it might be a lot worse. I think they should separate and get help for their addictions and then perhaps they can get back together and start making decent music again. I was listening to Whitney the other day and I miss her music and her amazing voice. I hope she gets her act together again one day soon.

She's 40 and looks 50, her voice is shot beyond, and her sales have plumetted. Look for a really sad end to the Whitney/Bobby fiasco within the next decade. I predict they'll go out Jimi Hendrix-style, except, unlike with Jimi, no one will really care.

It's such a shame that all of this is happening. I wish that Whitney would just leave the bastard already but she has chosen to stay with him and if she doesn't leave him soon, she'll pay the price for it.

Why is it that Whitney does all these songs about how she's not gonna take it anymore (see lyrics below) but in real life,she's the wimpy wife who can't seem to stand up to her no-good,cheating,abusive husband? Well if Whitney got out of line of course he hit her - she should have known better. Thats why shes forgiven him - she knows it was all her fault. You have to admire her for admitting she made a mistake by calling the cops.

Its easier when folks say "get out" but its not really that close from easy when you're messing yoself IN that hole. Its not easy 4 abused women to get out becoz they don't think they're good enough to be in any relationship, so they stick to what they have.

Besides, This is a love-hate relationship, these kind of relationships are the HARDEST to break free from becoz there're so many different emotions involved and lets not 4get there're so many thangs in between which make it complicated(Bobbi Kristina, Sex which is one of Whitney's addictions as she stated and of course the drugs and the booze). It woulda been easier if ONE of them were addict not the 2!

This is not a simple thang, Whitney ONLY got the brutal way to get her ass outta there and I understand that its not easy at all but its funny how folks complain about her being with Bobby and doing the whole drugging, I wonder how would it feel to see ya'll in her shoes

This is actualy pretty uglier than the Ike & Tina saga, I'm praying for Whitney and most importantly,,,Bobbi Kristina!
