Most Oversaturated Singles of 2003

This doesn't mean the song is GOOD or BAD, it just means that it was played everywhere, forever, all the time, ad nausem, and beaten to a pulp on the radio, in the club, the streets, retail chains, fast food eating areas, malls, doctor's offices, etc.

starLUMIDEE - NEVER LEAVE YOU (REMIX) (UH OHH, UH OHH)star
Okay, I lived in New York over the summer in a predominately Dominican neighborhood in Upper Manhattan. I heard this song 24 hours a day! I remember cars would ride down the street and would blast this song day and night! Every time I hear this song it reminds me of Inwood and NYC. Even during the blackout people were playing this song!

R. Kelly - Ignition (Remix) - Over Spring Break this song was played foreverrrrr. I remember it reached it's nadir when a group of females were singing this walking through the mall in Cerritos! I'm like "AHHHH" I can't escape this!)

Beyoncé - Crazy In Love (You could not escape this song -- it was also played during the huge Blackout in NYC over the summer, I'm like damn, even in darkness and no electricity this song still survives! LOL)

50 Cent - In Da Club (I remember earlier this year you could hear this song 80 times a day on the radio, in the club, on loud car systems, on the streets, everywhere.)

Ashanti - Dreams (why every retail store I walked into was playing this song?)

Ashanti - Rock Wit U (Awww Baby) (I interned at MTV over the summer, I was forced to listen to this)

Britney Spears - Me Against The Music (Is it a law that every white gay club has to play anything new by Britney or Madonna?)

Nelly, P.Doo Doo, Wedgie Lee - Shake Ya Tailfeather

Evanesence - Fallen

Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz - Get Low (ft. Ying Yang)

Bonecrusher - Never Scared

Chingy - Right Thurr

lol I live in SoCal. But I have a feeling it has everything to do with the fact that I've gone cold turkey from listening to the radio, and nothing to do with location. I also haven't been watching videos enough to see it so far.

Ironically enough, I heard "Milkshake" for the first time five days ago. Then again, I have almost completely stopped listening to mainstream radio...

Janfan's sound a lot like mine. Can't stand the Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boys song. I used to call it the "Fishy, Fishy" song cause it souned like that's what they were saying. Terrible for rap, terrible for hummanity but I did like the Bonecrusher song. That was good. 50 Cent's "In Da Club" was way too much! P. Diddy's "Shake Ya Tailfeather" made me sick! Evanscense's "Bring Me To Life" (no, bring me to death!). Beyonce's "Baby Boy" is certified crap! The one I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned is 3 Doors Down with "When I'm Gone" which got a whole lot of play from radio...wonder why...could it be that they are...I don't know...pro war! That one killed me! Shcokingly, I kind of liked the Lumidee song becuase I didn't hear it that much. But I think if I did, I would have hated it as much as everyone else. And I don't think I ever heard "Dreams" on the radio but it was playing in a store once (and cringed). I remember her bragging about itand i was ready to hear it every five mintues but never did hear it on radio (maybe once or twice but on small stations...guess I was lucky).

I really dont' think that's why the song got played...but goddamn, I am sick of hearning them! SAme with the Evanescence song. I think around April of this year EVERY time I got into the car and turned on the rock station, the pop station, the commercial station, "Bring Me To Life" was on, and sometimes it was on multiple stations at the same time! ARGH!!! Everyone, go to your local radio station and DONATE SOME GOOD CD'S TO THEM!!! Cuz God knows they don't have many on them already!

i'm sure they have their own crap that is much worse than our crap, that they hear every five minutes. if it was any good, we'd be hearing it every 5 minutes in America biggrin

It was a bad year for music, yeah. But there were still some bright spots. Just no really amazing album that you could get really excited at.

Wrong topic or you must live in biazzaro world. I struggled to hear "American Life" on radio and only heard it like 3 times. And two of those times it was the station in Toledo. And Madonna is from Detriot and always got good radio play before! Did you really hear AL that much?
