Piano music electronic/Glitch? (Requesting artists.)

Im pretty fond of artists using the piano as a main instrument (Ben folds/Aqualung) and was wondering if anyone knows of any instrumentalists, or non instrumentalist who use the piano with any electronic noises, ect.. ?

Curios.. and appreciative of references smile

I do! smile Of course, I'm a struggling amateur, with little way of getting my music out to the public for the time being. Maybe next year.

Im looking for a jazz swing to it though.. heck, im probably just dreaming it up.. I really do wish I could find a cd that uses the piano as the main instrument, but adding an electronic/glitch style to it.. very inventive stuff..

I do it with my music.. i'd just like to hear someone else smile

That doesn't mean anything.

Air is trendy and formulaic. Bjork is one of a kind.

She has a one of a kind voice thats for sure. No one sounds like her. You can recognize her voice right away. But take her voice away and she is trendy and formulaic.

I don't see how. Her music doesn't sound like anybody's either. A lot of people try to do what she does, but no one can. She writes and arranges her own string and horn parts, she uses choirs and full orchestras on tour, she has some of the best visuals in music today. I really don't see how you can consider her trendy.

We are going to have to agree to disagree on the Bjork thing. I realize a lot of people dig her, but I just find her horrible.

Okay. Just refrain from ruining totally harmless threads and we're cool.

Air is fucking great, PERIOD. Funny, I find Bjork boring - not dogging her, just saying. Air is anything but.

WTF? She's one of the most original music artists ever!

To be fair, a lot of her work on Debut & Post sounds of its time but beyond those she sounds like nothing else on earth.
She's extaordinarily unique.

Really?? I can't say I have heard anything beyond those releases. I found them so bad, I couldn't give her a third chance.

True. But not the entire albums.

Portions of Debut are very club oriented like Violently Happy and Big Time Sensuality. But tracks like Aeroplane and Venus As A Boy are entirely Bjork.

Same with Post. I can only think of a few songs on there that sound of their time - Army Of Me, I Miss You and Enjoy come to mind. But songs like The Modern Things, Headphones and Isobel are timeless! And if the album versions don't do it for you, the ones on Telegram are on a whole 'nother level.
