I don't know, but he doesn't really seem interested in a fair trial at the moment. What with spouting off at the mouth "it's lovely and wonderful and 100% acceptable to sleep with 11-year-olds just as long as you ask pretty-please-with-sugar-on-top". That won't prejudice the jury, for sure. All the prosecutor has to say is something along the lines of "if YOUR 12-year-old told you he was going to a sleepover at a 45-year-old man's house, wouldn't you feel uncomfortable?"

Well, that's the problem summed up, really. Michael clearly suffered some kind of arrested development as a teenager, probably as a result of having an adults work schedule as a child, and has since been trying to make up for his lost childhood. I know he should've gotten over it by now but my guess it that he simply doesn't want to. He enjoys being a manchild desperately trying to recapture his youth that was pretty much stolen from him. Why his other brothers didn't turn out as bad is beyond me. Michael may have been the public face of The Jackson Five but they were all worked too damn hard for a bunch of youngsters.

Yeah, Michael's a man-child alright. A pervy, freaky one wink

The thesis works fine for him, but doesn't work well for other adolescent entertainers (the Olsens, Connie Francis, the rest of the Jacksons, as you said, and so on). Personally, I think that pimping your kids off to music producers when they should be enjoying their childhood is a deplorable form of child abuse, so I don't really consider it Michael's fault, per se. But they still need to put him away for a while.

If he's innocent (and I hope he is) then being "put away" won't solve anything at all. He needs therapy, of sorts, to address his issues and help him overcome his past. If he is guilty? Yeah, throw him in the slammer. No argument.

Yes, that's what I meant. But to undergo therapy, he'll likely have to be forcibly institutionalized for a period, especially considering the fact that he seems so detached as to his current state.

see, this is the problem right here.People use this as an excuse for Michael.Nobody sees anything wrong with this.

I agree, that's NOT a valid excuse. Little boys don't touch other little boys in a sexual way.

While Michale's "freakdom" can be attributed to his (lack of) childhood, it's not a valid excuse fo this.

MJ is brilliant for coming up with this "I never had a childhood excuse." His fans just accept this as a reason for any & all behavior when all it is is an attempt to put the blame for his actions on someone else. MJ had a childhood - it may not have been the fantasy NeverNeverland version he dreams of but he did have a childhood.
My brother never bought a bike for his son. Now the kid is 16 & he has never ridden a bike. Plus he started working when he was 12. Sounds like he never had a childhood huh. Guess I should go find some 6 year old for him to cuddle up to - after all its totally innocent.

Talking of 'excuses' - I heard 2day that he has just married a a highly intelligent Muslim Pianist.

I kid u not - this is the 'latest' from the rumour mill.

Have 2 say, it wouldn't surprise me if it turns out 2 be true.

well, not really, how old was he when the jackson 5 started? that's not a normal childhood, plus add joe jackson's carzy ass.
He didn't have a "normal" childhood. I believe that, and I believe that has caused some of his strangness, some.
But that's isn't a valid excuse for this, it doen't make sense; little boys don't do what micahle's being accused of.
I believe he did it and don't believe his "childhood" has anything to do with why he did it; as others (his fans/supporters) do, it doesn't make sense.

Shouldn't that be 'If' she did?

reading you posts on this and other similar threads, seems like you have a penchant for absorbing and believing everything you read, no matter what the source.

Of course I didn't believe it. It was a joke. She doesn't exist. As if I'd really believe The Sun is the bastion of journalistic integrity rolleyes.
