This motherfucker was up on stage with MJ two years ago, gushing and fawning all over him. Seems to me he would have said to Rolling Stone: No, there is only one King of Pop.

The "King of Pop" title is a fraud anyway, dreamt up by a legend whose star was fading. But as long as we have it, I see no reason why Justin Timberlake should not lay claim to it. He's sold enough records and is a guy of reasonable talent.

Let him have it. Seriously, though, do you really think MJ can claim that any longer? Maybe I'd wait until he sold a slew of records but J.T. seems positioned to take the "throne"-- for whatever it's worth. I say more power to him.

That little bitch has got to work a LOT harder to get that kind of recognition, even though the original crowning of MJ as "King of Pop" seemed equally ludicrous at the time it was "announced" in the media. Micahel i think does have problems with not being able 2 capture the attention like b4, but Justin is nothing compared 2 the likes of him at ALLL. Michael is a legend and will stay that way long after he dies, so..

In my opinion, the title "King Of Pop' is not even worth having. Take into consideration how fickle the pop audience can be and you'll realize how fleeting and meaningless this title is.

My problem with the "KOP" title is that it's superflous when it comes to Michael Jackson. It was absurd to use it for a guy who was already a legend.

Unfortunately, he embraced the title just as his sales of new LPs started to fade (as they do with any artist), and the title ironically gave people an opportunity to mock him, not to recognize him for his accomplishments.
