Agree with you comments...I STILL dont get the big fuss over Hilary Duff...WTF of the year if you ask me. I've hated Toby Keith for years...I have a relative who's a huge fan and I lambasted him and the album over Thanxgiving...he actually made a song called "If I Was Jesus" and another song that makes fun of Middle Eastern people. Just ignorant...

As for Sheryl Crow...I love her and I did think it was quick to put out a 'Best Of' after 4 albums...I guess the label figures..it's been 10 years since the first album lets do it. This day and age it's rare you get a valid compilation of true hit songs...this is very valid...with a couple of fan favorites thrown in.

No Dobut 'Singles' has even suprised me as I cant take it out of my CD Player...I did'nt realize I liked them so much! 'It's My Life' is such a great cover...the drum machine at the beginning sounds like a cross between "Billie Jean" and "Like A Virgin'...

I kind of like Hilary Duff. "Why Not" is a very infectious pop song, I don't care what anyone says! I did buy the album when it came out but must admit it is collecting dust lots of dust. I think I only bought it for the free poster, which I've been to ashmed to hang up. She must have a lot of old horny (well, I'm only 23) guys buying her CDs.

I really would have liked if they included her cover of "D'ryer Maker" from "Unplugged" a few years back. She did a very good, light verison of it. I might pick up the compilation soon though.

As for Toby Keith, what is this song that makes fun of people from the Mid-East? I would love to know why the supposive liberal media has not picked up on it. Guess rednecks are above that kind of stuff, huh? Very interesting. I realize that this kind of belongs in the politcal catogery but as Ms. Duff would say, "Why Not".

Isn't Hilary Duff only 15 years old or something?

There's a song on the Toby record called 'The Taliban Song' and I'm paraphrasing cuz I only heard it once and the first line was something like

"I saw a camel ridin, sand lovin Afgan man..."

I just remember my reaction after a few lines...Not only is the song moronic but I was embarrassed for my cousin who thought it was funny. It's a shame that ignorance lives in my own family...

My friends say I hate Toby so much that I should start some kind of revolt! BURN YOUR TOBY KEITH CD!!!

What's the difference? They've been out roughly the same amount of time and have the same amount of albums.

Good luck finding someone with a Toby Keith CD here! Heck, before his big pro-war stance, I couldn't tell you a song he sang but now he is all over! Hmmm...

Great point! And actually, Sheryl's album doesn't feature all her singles or it would probably be a bigger collection (or even all of her charting songs).

It has most of her singles...I think the only songs missing (US singles) are "Anything But Down" (GLOBE SESSIONS), "You're An Original"(C'MON,C'MON) and the GOD AWFUL remake of "Sweet Child Of Mine" from the 'Big Daddy' soundtrack (and later added to GLOBE)

It would've been cool to add some of the GREAT covers she done over the years...a bonus disc of this stuff would've been cool..

-'Dyer Maker' (from a Zeppelin tribute album in mid-90's)
-'Solitaire' (from IF I WERE A CARPENTER, 1994)
-'Gold Dust Woman' (w/Steive Nicks off Sheryl's live record)
-'Happy' (off the live record)
-'All By Myself' (yep the Eric Carmen song..off 'Run Baby Run' UK single)

And her James Bond song (which was a single, I assume but not in the tradional sense) isn't on there. I loved her cover of "Dyer Maker" and was hoping that she would put it on a collection one day. Guess it only got radio play here.
