Michael Jackson Prince TTD Matt Goss Stevie Wonder I LIKE Matt Goss' voice, but I don't think he's worthy of being in that list. Replace him with maybe Bruce Springsteen or Marvin Gaye and you've got my Top 5. ooo yeah! Marvin Gaye has an amazing voice. I guess I love Matt's voice a little more having heard him live recently, he sang a track called Goodbye, "hairs on the back of the neck standing time"

I still think he has it. Go listen to Don't Walk Away (how beautifully does he sing this!), You Rock My World, Butterflies, Whatever Happens, Speechless. He's still in fine form.

Janis Joplin!
The emotion in her voice!!! Besides, the fact that she could even stand up at all being as fucked up as she was is also highly commendable!

for some reason I can only trully apreciate the voice of a female singer...
My faves would have to be; Ella, Billie, Aretha, Chaka, Misia(portuguese), Cher, to name a few; distant second are; Sinatra, Bennett, Stevie, Marvin, again only naming a few. Although I think Prince is a good singer, it's his AXE that has got me hooked...TOO FUNKY!!! -"If U don't like,
what U see here -get the FUNK out."

He's getting a bit rough around the edges of late but the man can sure hold a tune and has a broad vocal range, too. I always preferred Robin's voice, tho'. Yea, Robin is good. And the 3 brothers together were pure magic. But Barry can get so many different sounds out of his voice that you would think it had to be several different singers, not to mention the amazing range he has - I heard when recording Immortality with Celein Dion, they were doing scales to warm up and Barry could get a full octave higher than Celein. I also heard when working on the Sgt Pepper movie, Barry was working with the beatles producer. On one of the tracks, he had Barry singing the same part multiple times. He was trying to get that chorus effect like Prince does in songs like 7. Only Barry's vocals were so perfect that the multiple tracks sounded like one track. He had to tell Barry what he was trying to do so Barry would know to vary his voice so it would work.
