i just got in a slight altercation with the person behind me and made a ruckus during one of the songs. i'm hoping the band didn't hear...but i know the people around us did.

earlier in the evening (after HE came and stood behind ME), he asked me to move up. i politely said 'oh, sorry, i have no room" or something of the sort. that's when he started nudging me and moving around in an obviously instigative fashion. i kept ignoring him figuring he'd eventually get tired...plus, rufus is just too fine to get distracted from. well, he didn't stop but he got worse and actually started using his knee to bang into me (sounds strange, i know). that's when i said my thing to him and he was all like 'yeah, i have a fucking problem. move the fuck up" yada, yada, yada. so i started yelling "where the fuck do you want me to move, huh? where? do you see any room in front of me. just watch the fucking concert!" apparantly i said all of thi svery vicously and my boyfriend actually though i was gonna go at him. bu you me, i'm smooth . i just stared at him for a bit (kinda like staring a dog down) and then turned around. he hung out for a few minutes but within a song or two he moved away. punk ass bitch. that's what he was. starting with me at a concert. and a rufus show, at that!? catty fags, i tell ya.

So how was the show other than that? I hope he didn't ruin it for you?

oh puh-leez! the show was phenomenal. he did, i think, every song from the new cd. two songs from the next cd (want II). he did 'april fool's' and 'foolish love' from the self titled release. he did 'cigarettes and choco milk', 'poses', 'california', and 'grey gardens' from the 2nd cd. the two unreleased tracks were called 'gay messiah' and 'little sister'. i didn't like 'gay messiah'...the lyrics were really amatuerish and i would just expect more creativity from him. he also did a french song but since i don't know french, i can't tell you the name of the song

his sister opened for him and she is wonderful. i wish i could find some of her work but i don't think she has any released work.

it was long and dramatic and wonderful. i always enjoy his performances. he seemed to really enjoy the city and loved him some ann sathers...that's a great (and awfully fattening) swedish restaurant just around the corner from the venue. he kept singing about swedish meatballs and stuff rom the menu of ann's. too funny.

and he is far too sexy!
