Fountains of Wayne (HOWEVER THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR MANY, MANY YEARS AND THIS SHOWS HOW OUT OF TOUCH THE GRAMMY BOARD IS) I was going to say the exact same thing. Freaking morons. The Grammys are irrelevant and too predictable. "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"
"Giving leaders enough power to create "social justice" is giving them enough power to destroy all justice, all freedom, and all human dignity." - Thomas Sowell

Big fucking whoop. Cyndi Lauper had been cutting records with Blue Angel since 1984 (when she won BNA), and Shelby Lynne had been around for 10 years when she won...talk about out of touch.

Everytime something like Fountains of Wayne or Shelby Lynne happens they say it is becuase this was the year when they really got recognized (by the man!). I totally don't understand the Whitney thing unless the song was kind of a hit or something, then it kind of makes sense. Grammys are a joke as always! But they are nice to bitch about!
